So, children should be able to profit off their parents' criminal behavior? I agree this individual has not done anything wrong. However, she is the beneficiary of her parents' criminal behavior of entering the US illegally. Why should she get to remain here when children of organized crime bosses get tossed out of their home, forfeit their cars, etc.? Do children of drug dealers get to keep their ill-gotten assets just because THEY are blameless? I don't understand this argument when it's easy to cite many situations where an innocent person does not get to profit off of others' illegal activity. Why should Dreamers be treated differently? And, by the way, this individual, here illegally, is almost assuredly taking up a citizen's place in college, receiving federal dollars meant for a US citizen, maybe in subsidized housing/medical care meant for US citizens, etc. It's unfortunate but it does not make logical sense to treat a non-citizen as totally blameless and allow them to keep benefits they should never have received in the first place unless you allow children of embezzlers, drug cartels, fraud, etc. to keep everything that was derived from criminal behavior.
