Agreed, it will be a battle. My understanding is Congress/President are unable to modify an existing amendment. Perhaps the Supreme Court could reinterpret it???
SC interpretation is the only way short of another constitutional amendment - which ain't happening with all the Lib states. If the SC does go that route, anything is open to reinterpretation imo. BRC should not be.

If it weren't for the RINOs, they wouldn't be able to do this here. The RINOs drove conservatives to become independent due to lack of representation. They've sat on their hands in the scotus and congress for decades.

The fake conservatives have destroyed any chances we have of fixing the system they've helped break.
But we true conservatives are not the problem, but rather part of the solution.

One thing I've always thought would help is if this thread was a separate forum instead of one continuous thread. If it was a forum with different threads on new topics like the basketball or football forums, then it might be easier to catch up as you can just look at the threads that interest you.
Have you ever tried this site:

I’m not here to defend him, but he had 90 people run against him in his district or whatever Canada calls them.
That likely split his vote, also, Trump did him no favors, imo intentionally.

The Conservative provinces of Canada, Alberta and Saskatchewan, are not going to put up with the far left leaders of Canada forever…
Great post. Thanks. Agree that DJTJ may very well ahve wanted the Libs to win to take CAN further down their sh!t hole.

Living near I-75, going back literally 50 years, there would all kind of Ontario plates going to/coming from FL/South. They've gradually decreased to the point they are close to rare now. Lots have property at the NATO Summit location - Costa Rica.

Vs. districts, I think they call them ridings like the Brits do.

He's a grandstander, nothing more.
He's a little bit more than that. But his controversial votes against the Party make him stand out, much like Ron Paul did. He needs to focus on party discipline and realize he can't change the world by himself. Even Ron Paul voted for every spending bill AFTER he voted no in committee. He was pragmatic enough to make sure his home state of TX got its piece of the pie.

In another bit of seemingly tertiary news, this article mentions one of Pope Francis' primary missions...

What's interesting is that his well stated mission is prison ministry, and Catholic charities were integral in bussing in and relocating illegal immigrants throughout the country, because it also just so happens that most of the criminals released from prisons and sent here were from predominantly Catholic countries south of our border. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, though.... and even more of a coincidence that our executive administrative policies on illegal immigration were ignored starting soon after he was installed in 2013.

More from Rubio:

RUBIO: "I would NEVER tell you that, and you know who else I'll never tell? A JUDGE. Because the conduct of our foreign policy belongs to the President of the U.S. and the executive branch, not some judge."

"We will conduct foreign policy appropriately - if we need to, but I'll never discuss it. And no one will ever make us discuss it because that's how foreign policy works."

RFK Jr. has them all scared haha

I had no idea he was from here.

Wow.
Some places list him as being from Dawson Springs, but that's recent. Most everything I ever saw was Princeton. But, what are they, 10 miles apart?

Of course, that whole tri-county area of Caldwell/Hopkins/Webster counties is the same place. Tradewater river basin. From Dalton, Providence/Dawson/Princeton were minutes away.

Born in Princeton and lived in Dawson!

Massie is getting to be a clown.

Well, there are two ways to look at this bill. It may have the right, stated intentions, that being to protect victims from suffering. That's the admirable part.

But it also has the effect, if I'm not mistaken, that videos (such as those that were found on a laptop of someone abusing another human being, but that same someone not ONLY NOT being prosecuted, but receiving preferential treatment in the executive administration, courts, and media) showing a crime being committed by someone in politics or show business against a helpless and or underage victim, would never have been seen by ANYONE, because the govt could immediately censor them and imprison anyone who had revealed them to the public. I for one am glad I know about the depravity of an utter POS and his POS family, as well remorseless depravity of the thousands of people that covered it up; and refused to prosecute it fairly and as the law didictates. Thats just one of many examples.

Unless the bill is worded extremely carefully to not allow what has definitely and very recently happened at the hands of Democrat appointees and RINOs and their failure to pursue justice for victims, I wouldn't vote for it eieither. Who rules as to WHAT is a deep fake (or allowable political meme as the Texas legislature has passed in their bill)? We've been listening to media deny the authenticity of EVERYTHING damaging to their party for over a decade, and within thay decade watched it be forcibky removed from the internet by the govt.

Is it not suspicious to anyone that after numerous cases being adjudicated and damning videos surfacing that this type of law is being passed?

Is it not reminiscent of the congressional insider trading bill being passed after many lawmakers sold their airline stocks prior to 911, and after one of the biggest SEC investigations into it was launched?

We can't let the media dictate how we respond to things. We have to reason through it and ask some serious questions about what's being said, whats being passed, an how the legislation could be misused BEFORE it becomes law REGARDLESS OF WHO proposes it.

Edit- Has anyone here READ THE BILL yet to know what the verbiage is?

Not surprising that a leading light of this thread is with the 2 versus the 409.

Perspective-

  • "The first quarter" of 2025 is a total of about 90 days.
  • 20 of those days had nothing whatsoever to do with this administration.
  • In fact, it's the last 30 days of it that the effects only began to be seen.
The question needs to be asked: how bad was the economy that the numbers tanked so bad as Jill & Co no longer had control of the country and the narrative?"

I'm finally seeing people back at restaurants and other entertainment venues where they haven't been for 2 years. It was a busy mid-week ay at a few Lexington restaurants, like I haven't seen in a long time. They must not be watching CNN anymore and don't know how bad/grim things are supposed to look.

Surprised they still let anyone talk politics here. This site is owned by a left leaning company. I don't think this thread will be around much longer. I'm just enjoying it and the good people here while it lasts.

As I was typing this comment, rivals was acquired by ON3... lmao. Will probably be gone sooner than any........
