I've heard good arguments both ways on interest rates and our debt. By having a quick downturn and the fed lowering interest rates it would save the US $7T over 4 years from what I heard one guy say. If that is true then putting that pressure on the fed chairman would make sense. I need to see a longer version of where he's getting that $7T number though.
