Education Department employees offered up to $25K to quit before Monday
The Department of Education is offering a buyout of up to $25,000 to many of its employees.
Watching the back half of this video, one would have to be a liar and a fraud to think he was just out for himself. From the moment he starts talking about how Ed Koch was running New York through talking about foreign countries taking advantage of the United States, it's about properly representing the interests of the people.
Same guy then as he is now. Only the attitudes of others have changed.

I do not know why folks cannot understand that Trump has been saying the same things for decades. No matter how good of a liar someone is they are going to slip up over time and say things that contradicts their true beliefs. Just listen to Biden over the years. The govt declared he was unfit to stand trial, therefore he was unfit to sign any pardons. They should all be thrown out along with any executive orders and/or bills he signed after the courts deemed him unfit to stand trial.

# of times my elderly parents have ever visited a SS office....NONE. In fact, no one I know has ever went to an office....they pick up the phone.
If you've ever had to visit an actual SS office, it's not something you'd EVER want to do again. Believe me...
I'm drawing SS early, and was able to do all of the requisite forms/applications online. There WAS a time, if you needed a replacement card etc. that you had to visit a branch office. That is no longer the case. So, cole854 is correct.

Not accurate. The tax revenue received will only cover about 78% of benefits in 2035. The so-called SS Trust Fund has been a mirage since day 1, of course. Our government has kept an accounting entry on the books but there was never a big pile of cash stashed somewhere for SS.
We need to eliminate fraud and mistakes in payments first. Then, tax all income, at least to some extent over the current inome max, and I believe many of the SS predicted disasters are averted.
Honestly, it really wasn't that bad. It won't let you do it until you're under 4 months away though.
SS was just another of FDR's crackpot ideas, that he got from his equally crackpot hero, Woodrow Wilson, who as we all now know, was one of the worst Presidents in history. I saw this first hand traveling internationally. Upon returning, neither me nor my travel partner had to go through any customs questioning like before. We just stood there on a mark while a camera scanned our face and confirmed our ID. We didn't even have real ID.
So ya they have all your biometrics if you have a driver's license even if its just a basic one. Who knows what they do with it, but you can bet it isn't only for convenience.
