I 100% want a pause on all immigration. Although there’s a big difference in legal and illegal with production- it’s still transforming the country. It’s an issue and it’s the same damn reason Israel wouldn’t want immigration. And no one should have to apologize to this.

There should probably be a pause in immigration until all problems are fixed. I am for legal immigration and think it should be streamlined getting rid of the "red tape" that seems to stall many people's migration to this country.

I love many immigrants who are here. But as a percentage of population and of course in total, foreign born are at an all time high. We need to get that percentage down to under 8%. That will help bring the country together as you need time to let the pot melt.

Americans used to do those “shit jobs” they just gave up on them once we started importing the third world in here to do them on the cheap. Now Americans need to be coaxed back into the trade industries by having it shown to them that you can make a decent living without having to go spend years and 10’s or hundreds of thousands of dollars on a useless degree. Electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, many trades in the construction industry especially can earn nice wages.
Merit based immigration should be the standard. What can you provide and add to the team? That’s the mentality we should have. It’s insane that we import people here to be leeches just cause it can empower Democrats/globalism.

All the illegal immigration stuff is economic. I don’t blame any illegals for wanting to come here, and I think most of them are very hard workers. Hell, if I could move somewhere that was safer, frankly nicer from a landscape perspective, and quadruple my salary I’d be there in a heartbeat.

The only, and I mean only, people immigrating to this country should be the people who want to assimilate into our culture once they are here. That doesn't mean they can't have pride in their heritage, it means don't try to impose their religious / political beliefs upon native US citizens. Assimilate fully or gtfo.
Sadly, we have too many Americans that would rather sit on the couch and draw government assistance nowadays. I've heard people say they would need $30/hr to go to work and most barely have a 12th grade education. Government assistance programs were designed to be a "pick me up" not a retirement fund.
