Ya if its hundreds of thousands. However i saw several people get 30k+ chunks of money and spend it all down to keep their Medicaid.
They ask their caseworker for their magic number. As long as they can show receipts it was spent, noone cared what for. Even know of at least one instance where a brother or cousin bought a cheap receipt book and wrote a bunch of receipts. Worked like a charm. No idea if the money actually changed hands or not.

-Based off exeperience traveling globally, I think America should revamp its medical system into something different, I don't know if single payer is the answer but the current exploitive system aint it, and if thats passed we should rework unemployment coverage to lower levels.

The corporate class wealth is booming while workers are punished and spending power is devalued. The SC ruling that opened the flood gates for unchecked money into politics has created a toxic environment that coupled with social media proliferation has people dehumanizing their fellow country men in ways similar to how we approached propaganda against Germany and Japan in WW2. If you dehumanize them then you don't have empathy towards them.
-Corruption and Oligarchs influence has gotten worse and worse, blue side doesn't make real moves because they wanted the corporate donor money, red side gets stirred up over cultural identity politics and used as carrots to keep them distracted from corruption and wealthfare expansion.
Until a party represents the people first attack corrupt insider trading, lobbyist buying votes on bills against their constituents, or find a way to address the infosphere of people that only believe things from their sides view points we're going to slide towards more and more of the 1% ruling everything.
