The seismic shift in certain demographics that became Trump votes speaks otherwise.
I know it's way too early (kind of like the b'ball NCAA tourney brackets for '26 that will come out in June of '25), but I wonder if these shifts are permanent or just Trump. Will these demographics vote R when Trump is not on the ticket. When illegals aren't flooding the country will Hispanics, who did it the legal way, vote R,. The black males who saw the 'lawfare' for what it was. Young men who voted for him because of the 'bravado' after an attempted assassination. Etc.

A discussion for 3 years from now.

Cause for concern on house seats as Trump fills his cabinet?

Seems like they saw the trump win was too big to rig so they switched to cheating down ballot. Take AZ for example. Zero way trump wins there comfortably but the dems (after several days of counting) pull out a come from behind win.

Their focus on down ballot is absolutely to try to stall. Thats why this down ballot cheating must be called out and addressed.

The gop needs to go all in on these governor races or figure out some way to get these elections cleaned up.

I’m of the belief that it’s just Trump. Larger than life character with more media coverage than any person I have ever seen in politics. Ever.

Agree. A lot will depend on the economic situations and how they have progressed. The economy does not need to be an issue for '28.

Wouldn’t call it a seismic shift, seeing he only won a plurality. Looking back, I think a lot of dems like myself were high on hopium. I don’t think there was a single dem nominee that could have beaten Trump this go around. Bad election to be an incumbent.
It’s fair to speculate that if not for states with few or no voter ID requirements, she may have had far fewer electoral votes.

Shouldn’t a reasonable, rational person want to know why that is? Why it could be that in states with more stringent ID requirements, he won, but in states that lacked election integrity, she won? Are the people in the states really that different?

Seems like a major issue.
The media polls were meant to make you think it was close. It was obvious. There was no shot she was going to win an actual election. The only question is whether the democrat ground operation could submit enough ballots to push her over the top.

The fraud was obvious in 2020. Everyone knew what they were going to try and do in 2024, and thankfully, in most places they couldn’t do it.

Couple the increased focus on their dirty tricks with the Republican ground game, and they couldn’t push Kamala over the top.

She had 3 on 1 in the debate and escaped without falling flat on her face. The bar was set so low for her, just speaking in complete sentences was viewed as a win. It was no indication of competence.

She could not do unscripted media appearances. Certainly no for 3 hours.
Trump lost like 70 lawsuits in 2020 after the election. Still no evidence of widespread fraud and the heritage foundation has only found a handful of illegal aliens voting in presidential elections since the 1980’s. Y’all just need to take that L

Just like democrats need to take the L in 24. Big wins across the board for republicans. No voter fraud in this election either. Quit being sore winners. Y’all have all the momentum and will carry that with forward thinking policies.

Good god it’s like someone pulls a string and you just repeat the standard uninformed lefty lines.

How many of those “70 lawsuits” that Trump “lost” were decided on the merits (or even had any discovery at all), vs those that were thrown out for things like lack of standing?

Lol, you have no clue what you’re talking about. Election fraud was rampant in 2020, 2022, and 2024. No court looked at the evidence. Get bent.

Same old talking points from every leftist on here. Just repeated bot vomit.

Will you ever accept a losing election again? Does cheating ever happen on the GOP side? Lake was a bad candidate. Many years in the public eye with lots of flip flop takes. Take anyone else and they win that senate seat. She’s now won as many big election seats in Arizona as I have.

You know what? I actually don’t know which ones had merit and which ones were frivolous so I apologize bringing it up.

I actually wish we had closure in this election. I wish that Trump was able to get the validation he needed so that he could have accepted defeat. It took Covid to bring him down and I bet a lot of undecided voters went trump, Biden, trump the last three elections.

Hopefully everyone gets out of his way when it comes to policies and cabinet picks. I don’t want the ability to accurately judge him in a few years to be muddled up with democrats and TDS republicans.

Again, this doesn’t surprise anyone with a free-thinking brain. MSDNC hired a race-hustling grifter that owes millions in unpaid taxes. WTF did they expect?

What’s that? The Good Reverend Saint Al Sharpton The Great did something shady during the election? OMG!!! No way!!!

Dumbasses.

Don't like Stone...at all...but she is a smart lady (obviously doesn't apply it though). Has a reported IQ of 150ish and is a member of Mensa.

Common sense is a super power, and it definitely doesn't go hand in hand with high IQ.....especially on the liberal side of things. There are many very smart libs, but they will be the first to touch the bench w/ the wet paint sign.

Oh yes I'm sure you're behind him all the way LOL

In other news...

Discovery was key and NO court allowed it to get to that point. I have to and always will wonder why... (I know why.) The judges themselves who made those decisions need to be investigated.

I find it amusing the Kamala campaign staffers are trying to save their careers now claiming they knew all along Kamala was losing everywhere.

Doubly amusing that they’re pointing out the media polling was completely fraudulent.

What a bunch of hacks.

Thank god they lost.
Dems never self analyze. They never look in the mirror and think they could be the problem and change. Nope. It’s always “Double down on everything”, “try to control 100% of all info”, crash the economy, sabotage, change the voters, etc.

Never have they asked themselves “What do the people actually want? Why do they like Trump?” No, it’s “We will force this. Everyone else is the problem.”

Spot on. You’d think they would realize how awful their ideas and social views are after America voted for Donald F’n Trump twice (really 3 times) now. You know how awful your ideas and social values have to be to let that happen?

Yet they’ll never admit it, and worse, they’ll triple down on it. They have to be stomped out.

The GOP sure AF didn’t self analyze either. The voters decided for them. The GOP establishment would still operate the same if they could. It’s just they don’t get to control what the voters wanted in a candidate.

After losing twice by running two Dem-lite candidates in 2008 and 2012, Republican voters knew what they were doing wasn’t inspiring anyone. GOP trotted out Jeb Bush for Hillary to kick the shit out of. Voters heard a guy actually speak about immigration and not be a giant pussy with the media and then fell in love.

We’ve got a conservative SCOTUS cause of conservative voters. No one else. The Republican Party and so many of its talking heads were gonna be content with letting Hillary win and Dems control the Supreme Court. Imagine what we’d be looking at right now with that? Goodbye 2A. Goodbye 1A. Goodbye electoral college.

I’ll never forget guys like Ben Shapiro suggesting we “punt in 2016” after Trump got the nominee and then run a “real conservative in 2020,”

I don’t think the old guard does. There’s an arrogance in the dem party and I think it can be attributed to these guys.

There are some younger democrats that are trying to understand what went wrong. If these voices are able to make some headway, I think the Democratic Party can become the party of the working class again. We’ll see.
Ah, you haven't proceeded to Phase II of the Troll Handbook yet. Phase I is "Pretend to be agreeable and like Trump."

At the first sign of trouble you'll shit all over him and start blasting everyone here.
i cannot stand Trump, but I don’t want any scapegoats if he falls flat on his face.

I’m wrong everyday and it does not bother me one bit to admit that. Once more people can humble themselves, we’ll be able to see a democracy where both sides can coexist again.

Both sides are diametrically opposed. They cannot coexist. You fail to understand the spiritual battle going on in this country. People like you who are blinded to the truth will never come around to accepting people like me. Your side wants all of us destroyed or enslaved.

"I cannot stand Trump" - that's another tell. You don't know ANYTHING about him. If you bothered to do any research on your own instead of swallowing lefty talking points, you'd be able to articulate why without using terms like "racist" or "Nazi."

Did you vote for Kamala?

I feel the complete opposite. The younger gen of democrats are basically communists with zero room for disagreement.

They’ve been brainwashed. By our education system, by our entertainment industry, by our social media platforms, and even by out scientific institutions.

If you even hint at disagreeing with even one of their believes, they immediately go into hyperventilation mode/needing safe spaces and therapy/call you a bigoted nazi, uneducated racist and so on.

There are videos out there all over the place of them disowning their Trump voting parents/family/friends/neighbors.

The old guard is (was?) the Dems last chance to salvage their party from the extreme/communists. Unfortunately for them, all the sane ones are running away from them and into the arms of the GOP.

Which is fine - I welcome any sane-thinking person into the party, even if I disagree with some of their beliefs/policies. I just wish they would stay in their own party and attempt to bring sanity back to it.

I did vote for Harris.

I sincerely believe that if an online group of people who were unified under a common favorite team got together, we’d find out we share more in common than we don’t. There are foundational of the far left and far right that will keep those characters from agreeing, but I bet most people with common sense would be able to find a happy middle (coming from someone without a lot of common sense)

I’ll bite on the Trump bit. I don’t like him for a few reasons. The unfair reason is that he’s extremely wealthy and I have a natural distrust for everyone that fits that category.

I think the valid reasons I have for not liking him is that he has refused to give up his business holdings while in office. Being in public office should be one of the more greater sacrifices one makes and I don’t think anyone should be able to enrich themselves whilst representing the common man.

I also think that the people closest to him that have said negative things warrants a least a second look at his capabilities or running this country. Barr, Bolton, Pence, etc. have made some very serious allegations that has molded my opinion of his ability to hold the office.

Name three accomplishments of Kamala Harris you believe qualify her to run the most complicated country in the world.

You voted for her, she literally PAID rich people to endorse her. She took a BILLION DOLLARS from rich men and blew A BILLION PLUS TWENTY MILLION. She represents the party of the rich and actually outspent her own campaign so badly Trump offered (ironically) to pay it off for her. YOU should be embarrassed.

Do you favor Nancy Pelosi, whose Congressional salary is $182,000 but she's worth over $200M? She obtained that wealth AFTER her first election. Did you begrudge her lack of divestment?

You're full of shyte.

Barr and Bolton were fired.

Pence is a little shit who has since come back and endorsed Trump.

I love how you're all about "allegations." But proof? Nah, right bruh?

I’m trying to take your advice and not be so confrontational, but shit like this makes it hard.

He was the first President in forever - maybe ever - to lose wealth while POTUS. He never took a dime of his salary and donated it to other institutions.

He gave up his golden years to run for President to help this country. In the process, his constitutional rights were violated, a coup was attempted to remove him before he ever stepped foot in the White House, an investigation was opened up to hamstring his first term, they stole an election, tried to bankrupt him, tried to imprison him, and tried to keep him off the ballot this go ‘round.

So pardon me if I don’t think he used the office for his own personal gain. And pardon me for thinking he *did* sacrifice a ton for this country…..almost sacrificed his life for it.

Perhaps the youngest dems, but I am in my mid 30's and I listen to many more central voices. The youngest will come around. Every generation starts extreme left before working their way to the middle.

Harris supported legalization of marijuana as a senator.
As VP, she was the deciding vote for the CHIPS act, Inflation reduction act, and the infrastructure bill. I'm not here to defend the merits, just stating that I think all three of these were beneficial to us
Campaign promises were enough to get me on board. The additional taxes on tax brackets that make 250K or more sold me. I am a single issue voter in that I really want to redistribute wealth from the top to the bottom and I want to reduce the deficit. You can call me a dumbass if you want, many people have done that over the years, but these are my biggest issues.

Pelosi, Scott, and Menendez from NJ , and many others are all phony a-holes that should be sanctioned with fines or jail time for the wealth they have accumulated in office. They all suck and the fact that they won't tackle this problem pisses me off.

I could say more about Trump, but I really don't want to argue about him. I am willing to give him a clean slate so that he can accomplish what he believes will help the US and we can judge him accordingly.

Also, I don't know how to do this, but back in July when Biden announced he was stepping down, I firmly believed we'd have some sort of caucus before Ohio. I was really big on Mark Kelly, but unfortunately the powers that be didn't allow any additional challengers. /shrug

I appreciate the longer leash. The vagueness of his finances just doesn't sit well. Once a person reaches a certain threshold of fame, money, or power, they have to prove in tangible ways that they are telling the truth. Word alone isn't enough for me. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything to counter this. Am open to changing my mind on this if the evidence is presented.
