I saw this Jaguar tweet in my X feed last night, and in one of the replies, a guy said he was supposed to take delivery of a new Jag in the next few days, and was seriously considering cancelling his order over this ad campaign.
This will indeed be a fascinating case study. I'm at least 2-3 years away from needing to purchase a new vehicle. I've generally liked Jaguar cars but never really had the conviction to go out and buy one. I sure as hell won't be buying one now.

Problem is that you need a symbol that shows who you are as a people so those that want to be a part of it can identify with it and join. Not all people and or governments have the best intentions which is why we have so many problems now. We don't want your problems/criminals, we want those who wish to be Americans and work for the privilege to be one. That means show me your intentions are honorable by coming in the legal way. Coming in illegally show you have no respect for the system you are saying you want to be a part of.

I think he means that if Putin takes significantly more chunks of Ukraine, that he will have troops on the borders of more NATO countries than he has now- Finland, Estonia, Lith, Latvia, Poland. JMT.

Bull. Almost all North Koreans would choose an American lifestyle over their current one if they could. Because it's objectively, materially easier. They aren't intentionally choosing abject poverty because they're ideologically committed to Juche. They lack the knowledge, education, and context about the rest of the world to make an informed decision. That isn't their fault, they don't somehow deserve their fate just because they happen to be living under it.
