I agree with your first statement 100%. However, I don't take the attitude that you do on your second statement. It doesn't matter if it is anonymous, we need to have civil, thought-provoking, and meaningful discussion on these topics. I may be naïve, but I would hope all people could look into themselves concerning their actions or lack thereof and their convictions to objectively question whether they are inherently good or not. Choosing to put your head in the sand in order to root for your side, has become all to prevalent in today's society to the detriment of the human race.

The word 'Team' in your post is the problem. For some reason, politics has turned into a sport for most people, and they have to be a fan of one team or another. It has nothing to do with teams and everything to do with your core beliefs as an individual. I'm not a fan of any politician regardless of party. I admit that I like Trump a lot because he is an outsider and promotes ideas and beliefs that align with mine. Do I think he holds all of those beliefs and ideas, no I do not. But he holds most of them, and he promotes the one's that I do. Therefore, I choose to support him. If it were someone else that promoted those beliefs and ideas, I would support them also. To break it down to its most basic foundation, I am a 'fan' of those beliefs, ideas, and policies, not the person promoting them.

I'm afraid you may be right. I would never condone violence to further a cause. I would condone violence such as war in retaliation to those committing violence to further their cause. I feel like Trump feels this way too. No reason to have troops in all of these countries to safeguard democracy or whatever excuse they come up with. Let those people live how they want to live until they come looking for us. Then drop the hammer, and I mean the complete hammer. None of this pussy footing around like we've been doing for decades. except if you actually look at the income graph you can clearly see Trump had no effect on its trajectory. Its always funny to watch a twitter moron use a made up timeframe to try and make Trump look good. Adjusted for inflation, income has gone down not up under Trump.
