Oh I admit it isn't noble of me to enjoy the demise of your position but I have the same mercy for people like you that you've professed here over the years repeatedly. You cannot lie your way out of the jackpot this orange monkey has made for you. You lamely blame on others but the entire world know who cut funds, who fired the experts with experience to handle this threat, and who wasn't up to the job.

It started in China.

Uncontrolled mass immigration would have been the answer.

Tell me how many I think & I can tell if it's more or less than that.
It was answered in another post when talking about transporting workers to and from work or handling the bundles etc... Your earlier post suggested it was a low risk as they did not work side by side but, they do commute that way and many others down the line will handle the same bundles, equipment, and other materials.

The experts left, due to TDS like a bunch of other swamp things since the glass ceiling wasn't broken. They were not fired. If they were the "experts" who oversaw H1N1, I'm not sure the CDC or the country is missing much.

Funds have not been cut as the President cannot just cut funds, it must be approved by congress who has approved funding increases.

When are you going to understand that this and every other outbreak is the result of the careless global world we live in?

We were sold out to China long ago, by pubs and libs. Trump is trying to amend that a bit. Not a total withdrawal, but just enough of repositioning to where our country doesn't shut down and go into economic shock every time somebody sneezes.

I know somebody who works for one of the biggest pharma outfits in the world, they will tell you that a President by himself can't really do a whole lot in terms of impeding things, but red tape and bureaucratic BS can and does. Guess which party specializes in those two things?

The testing mess is due to fighting amongst government agencies...FDA and CDC among others...pissing contests to see who gets credit for saving the country...that's a fact from boots on the ground intel.

For hours or a day, maybe. Those folks are way more smart than government to let a mere virus stop them. They'll dress employees in hazmat suits & go on. I've worked in those plants temporarily on R&D projects.

No they won't. This panic is as much corporate as anything. I can tell you for a fact most companies already sent home any employee that isn't absolutely necessary to do their job in person.

Humana shut down for cleaning over one person. All these distribution scenarios will have to shut down at least a full day for deep cleaning; for liability purposes if nothing else. And one day at a giant food production facility is a massive deal if panic buying continues.

True, but where are all of the deaths? We should have had many more than 50 caused by CV in the US if it were that bad. We shall see...
I tend to agree with you. Tends to tell me that that either a) it isn't spread as widely already as many think, or b) not as deadly, or c) Americans have some unknown health protections we don't know. Since so many who die of CV are elderly, maybe our elder care is superior.

Yea, but the virus survives only so long on surfaces.

It doesn't matter. Companies are shutting down at least an entire day for deep cleaning if they have an infected worker.

Who knows what theyll have to do if it's a food production worker. It'll be longer than anything.

You're picking an odd hill to die on

We just disagree. People depend on these every day products. They will not shutdown other than to temporarily clean. It would be unconscionable for them to shutdown. What does Humana produce that people need daily?

We need food. We need soap. WTH, they're going out of business? They are not. You think anyone wants riots?

When push comes to shove, Cv19 is less of a risk than no food.

Do they even have that many tests? How did they confirm any of this?

Each and every announcement of this nature needs followed up with the following questions:

1) how many were tested
2) how many are confirmed
3) what are the demographics
4) what are their condition/including deaths directly related.

The media is allowing people to drive panic. That's why they keep putting doomsday type scenarios on air while subtly sprinkling in maybe/could/possibly while throwing out crazy numbers.
