Not at all. Nothing Moderate about Biden/But-edge/ Bloomy. The whole idea of Dem & moderate is a fantasy. Look how they all voted against Trump on impeachment.

First, none of the three you mentioned had a vote with regards to impeachment.
Second, what is not moderate about voting to impeach a guilty POTUS?

I'm not talking about whether they actually are moderate. The definition of that word has changed dramatically. They are moderate compared to Sanders though. The support of those candidates is far greater than the support for sanders, only they continue to cancel each other out. If Warren ever drops out and her supporters break for Sanders, this thing is over.

That 30 million is total uninsured. He is talking about how many of those 30 million were involuntary uninsured. I know many people that arent insured by choice. Im not insured because I felt like Im in my 20s and ive been healthy, so Id rather put that 550 bucks a month (cheapest option for me) into my startup than to health insurance Im not going to use. I actually know a good amount of people that aren't insured because they choose not to be (many of them can get much cheaper options than myself).
How do you know you’re not going to use health insurance? Accidents happen every day. People are diagnosed with ailments like cancer every day. Other than childbirth, neither my wife, kids nor I required any “healthcare” for about 25 yrs...then my wife noticed a lump on her neck.

I'm not talking the candidates, I'm talking the party. Yes, Trump was guilty of trying to get to the bottom of Ukraine corruption. The rest was bs & therefore there are no Dem moderates anywhere. It's a phony term the party lays on stupid people.

Yes I understand that. I lost my mother to breast cancer when I was 15 years old, I grasp the idea of the impacts diseases and other unexpected emergencies in life. I understand the risks I am taking when I choose to put the 500 bucks a month to my startup over insurance.

But that is the choice I make. You can call it an ill-conceived choice or whatever, that is perfectly fine. But I personally choose to not have health insurance even though I can afford it.

LOL! Yeah, you really believe that shit. Ukraine had already investigated and found nothing...plus, he didn’t give two shits about any actual investigation...he just wanted an investigation announced. And since Ukraine is so corrupt, how do you expect any said investigation to be any less corrupt?

So you choose to ask everyone else to pay your medical bills...got it. If you’re in an accident you could be transported to a hospital and incur tens if not hundreds of thousands of $$ in healthcare services.

People like yourself should have tattooed on their forehead...leave to die if found injured or sick for being so irresponsible.

I'm sorry, but if you expect healthy young people who dont make very much to sink 500 a month in health insurance when there is next to a 0% chance they'll beat the deductible, you're just crazy. I've been to the doctor for myself 1 time in 26 years outside of a normal checkup and I absolutely would not have bought private insurance. Most dont. I did have employer sponsored health care which is BY FAR the best thing in healthcare and should 100% never be eliminated.

The bottom line is insurance of any kind is a PRIVATE product and should not mandated by government. There are consequences such as not being allowed to drive, not getting a mortgage, and yes, not getting great healthcare. It's still ones right to purchase or not purchase private insurance of any kind.

Keep in mind when these liberal politicians promote their far left policies it will not apply to them or the elites.

There is no perfect economic system. Unfortunately, greed permeates them all. The idea of dumping it into one pot and being shared as needed by everyone is a noble idea maybe even the ideal system but only if it is based on free will.

Wow that is quite the mature response haha.

You have zero clue about my financial well being and if I could afford to pay emergency bills or not. By the way I can, Im extremely lucky enough to come from a very well off family. I know I have over 7 figures waiting for me when I turn 32 or in case of any emergencies. Knowing this was most definitely part of my decision to not spend money on health insurance.

You can call me a trust fund baby or any of that crap. But you can shove it with your dumbass takes of crap that you know absolutely nothing about.

How would it mean you have to pay anything? People should be free to make their own decisions, even bad ones.

Where the line is drawn is when another individual is the one who pays for the bad decisions of another.

Because if you’re involved in an accident and require medical care you’re taken to the ER where they by law are required to administer care.
When that care is administered, costs are incurred. When those incurred costs aren’t paid by the patient the cost is passed on to the paying customers in the form of higher rates.
The #1 reason for bankruptcy is medical bills. Do you really think that the hospital and docs all eat those charges?

You can draw a line wherever you want but unless you expect that ERs will secure payment/ability to pay before administering care then what does that line really mean?
Guy has a heart attack...you checking him for insurance before you start treatment?

The problem I see with socialism/communism is that it goes against what I consider human nature. Ideally, we'd all produce for the good of society and only take the minimum of what we need, but human nature is not like that. Most people want more, want to better their life, want to marry the most beautiful mate, drive the fanciest car, take the best vacations, etc. While many of the European Democratic Socialist countries have very few really poor people, there is little to no incentive or way to move above lower- to middle-class. None of those countries, while possessing things the US could adopt and make us all better, would be considered the Land of Opportunity and, while certainly not perfect and perhaps to a lesser degree than previous generations, America still is that land. At least that's the way I see it.

So should it be the right and responsibility of the doctor and hospital to tell you to go phuck yourself if you’re wheeled in? What measures have you taken so that the first responders and ER know that you have no ability to pay because you choose to spend your money elsewhere so that you don’t incur costs that will be passed on to me and other responsible individuals.
If you want to drive you are required by law to carry insurance...not to protect you but to protect others from the potential damage you might do. Why is it asking too much for you to be responsible to pay those who might be required to administer you medical treatment?

It is obvious you have not heard of a federal law called the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. It requires hospitals to provide treatment to all patients who need emergency medical treatment regardless of whether the patients have health insurance. So everyone in America including illegals has access to medical care. Insurance or no insurance.

I fail to see your point. If you recieve medical treatment without insurance, you are liable to pay for said treatment. Who said you're not?

Car insurance is a bad comparison for you as it is not a law to buy said insurance...as it should be. Like you said, the consequence is you cant drive. The consequence of no medical insurance is the bill is on you in full...

The only people receiving treatment and not being forced to pay it back are the very same people who recieve free insurance from the govt with the ACA. So again, what's your point?

Sorry, quoted the wrong post

If you don’t have insurance, your vehicle will not be licensed by the state to operate on a public roadway.

There is absolutely no comparison between auto insurance and requiring someone to buy health insurance because they are alive.

The point has been beat to death, but fuzz is still too dumb to understand.

Little incentive to move above lower middle class?
You’ve not been to Europe, have you?

Democratic socialism as practiced in Europe (and most Europeans don’t see it as socialism) provides access to what are seen as essential services. Namely healthcare and education. There is still plenty of incentive to live in a nicer home, drive a nicer vehicle on roads where they actually allow you to drive that BMW capable of doing 185...185mph! Eat better food although they most all eat much more healthy diets than do we.
Some European countries have more millionaire per capita than the US...and others have similar rates. Nearly 1 in 10 in Switzerland are millionaires.
Money has the same perks most everywhere.

Unless it's literally life or death then they won't treat someone without insurance. The odds of that happening to someone his age are very slim, short of an accident. Then there is likely other coverage available. Or his estate can pay.

For someone voluntarily choosing no health coverage, they likely have other financial ability to pay or at least major medical. After all this is not an ability to pay choice. It's more like deciding to not get the extended warranty on the tv

If they don't, then you have a point to an extent. It will pass down to others although it shouldn't because they are non profit.

According to this link 'some' European countries having more millionaires per capita is just one, and it is the one you named. The US comes in 3rd behind Hong Kong which China is slowly destroying.

I probably wouldn't have a big problem with free college education if every major college campus hadn't received multibillion dollar facelifts over the last couple decades. But if you want to live in dorms that are equivalent to 4-star hotels and go to class in buildings with all the latest technology then prepare to have a little debt when you graduate.

why the **** should I pay more taxes to fund your kid to go to college?
So what is the difference between paying to send them to K-12 and K-16? Doesn’t your kid, your grandchildren all benefit as well?

I’d just like to see us return to the same funding for higher education as existed in the 1970’s. A kid could work a summer job and with about 1 months earnings pay his college tuition. College wasn’t free but it was affordable for most anyone who wanted to go. No need to take out loans unless you were wanting to attend a private school. Even private schools were a bargain vs today’s marketplace. If you could get in you could go to Harvard for $4000/yr. Seeing that a teacher in those days was earning about $15,000/yr. Today Harvard is $50K about the same as a teacher with 8-10 yrs experience. UK was about $300/semester...now $12K for in state.

The Scandanavian countries have more economic freedom but a larger tax rate and large transfer system.

Public school is a quasi public good, not socialism. Marginal social benefit of college too small for public funding AND free college= lazy students skipping class and not doing work.

Lastly - rational self interest causes capitalism to innovate and prosper. It doesn't exist in socialism. No incentive to be efficient or innovative.

You’re making the opposite point you think you are. If you don’t have health insurance, you still receive care because of the law Sawnee referenced. And those costs are passed on to everyone. The only way not having insurance works is if you deny care to those who can’t pay.
