How much of Trump's spending is due to failed dem policies that preceded him? Why doesn't anyone mention the hundreds of billions of dollars he has forced European countries to pay into NATO? How about the China trade deal that IS taking place and extra money that is going to put in OUR pockets?

Dems are like ul fans, they want to pick out one aspect, or one time period, and then harp on it like they have some kind of argument that explains the entire picture.
Isn't it a joke that those who support Democrats and hate Trump are OK with spending hundreds of millions of dollars investigating our President to pull off a coup and throw him out of office. Millions wasted over a fraud and hoax. But their day will come

97-0.

You know, if you think about the impeachment trial logically and legally, that should've been the vote, if it were run as a typical trial in any federal court.

First, Warren, Sanders and Klobuchar should've been stricken or removed as jurors as a matter of course. They stood to directly benefit from a conviction.

Next, focusing ONLY on the evidence admitted(which was presented to the Senate by the House), there was ZERO direct or firsthand testimony. As far as documentary evidence, the only thing I am aware of that was admitted into evidence(if it even was) was the official call transcript. Everything else was secondhand and even further removed speculative testimony from witnesses approved only by the House Democrats, if I'm not mistaken.

In a typical trial, the defense counsel would move for a directed verdict of acquittal in these circumstances and the judge would have no choice but to grant it under the rules of evidence. A sort of related thing did occur here in that the Senate(acting simultaneously as jurors and judges, which is odd when you think about it) did take it upon itself to take a summary vote without additional evidence, which was perfectly proper, as it is the Houses's job( as the defacto prosecutor) to submit evidence to the Court. But in any other court, the defense counsel would move for a directed verdict and it would be granted and the jury would never even get to decide it.

Put another way, if the State charges someone with murder, and when it rests its case after entering evidence against the defendant and after making its arguments(as the House did here when it submitted the Articles to the Senate), the defendant can then take stock of what the State did and assess whether the case is strong enough to compel his own testimony or cause him to enter his own exculpatory evidence. If he decides not to(as essentially happened here with Trump in the Senate), the State does not get to at that point say, "hey, wait, there might be some additional witnesses who can help our case that we didnt call before."

What a shit show.

****ed up elections are a feature, not a bug with the DNC.

There was never any case to be made, period. The Dershowitz argument was impeccable, there was no impeachable offense.

You know this because,

1. There was no real rebuttal to Dershowitz, just a straw man argument.

2. The only poeple who disagreed did so on party lines, and ROmney who hates Trump and isn't trustworthy/competent anyway.

3. ALl the talk of being the right thing to do anyway, he's forever impeached it was impeachable, making a mockery of SOTU address was the only dignified thing to do, is a clear indicator these people know they are, wrong desperate to justify too themselvesthe partisan damage they ddid to the country.

A total incompetent political party at best and a corrupt party at worse. They are proably incompetent and corrupt which is dangerous. They hold their caucus in Iowa and Socialist Bernie gets the most votes.. Yet it is reported Mayor Pete has a percentage lead and he gets the most delegates.

Bernie may as well join Mayor Pete and grab his ankles with his pants down to the floor. The First Man of South Bend, Indiana can apply the lubricant. Hey Bernie the establishment DNC is out to get you

The difference is you'll find plenty of posters on here complaining of Trump's spending, myself included. But nary a whimper from the resident libs when Obama had the reigns.
:100points:

I can’t remember which poster, but someone here challenged liberal posters to say one negative thing about the past administration. Just one. And they just can’t do it.

I can tell you right now I wasn’t on board with his comments on McCain. McCain wound up being a snake, but he still served and was a POW. Regardless of his BS in the end, that’s not something to make fun of IMO. Trump runs his mouth too much at times. Sometimes it’s funny and as far as necessary. But sometimes he just need to stop. (See how easy that was? I support Trump, but can call his faults as I see them).

If Trump is a king to his supporters, Obama is a demigod. I have a feeling this hangs above all their beds:

Trumps official portrait should be him with a gas powered hedge trimmer cutting down those hedges.

I don’t care how petty that is. If “we impeached him so he’ll always be impeached” is what the Dems are working with, I’m good with sinking to their level.

We could play this game all afternoon long and not get anywhere. How much of Obama's spending was due to Bush's failed policy of going into Iraq and getting saddled with still having troops over there?

The sad thing in all of this is you so want to pin the national debt issue on the Democrats and fail to see (and make excuses) that both parties have failed for years on this issue. Tribal politics at its finest

No. I didn't say that both sides aren't responsible for the debt. In fact, I would put more of it on Bush Jr. than I would on O'bama. What you people do is to point to our current level of spending and blame it all on Trump. You give him no credit for anything and all blame for everything.

Yeah a lady told me on Twitter that he was still impeached to which I replied "and he is still your president". :joy:

Reading comprehension isn't your friend: I have stated multiple times now that it the fault of both parties going back a long, long time. Also, never did I mention Trump.

Agreed my friend. I love Trump's policies and his success with what he's done for the country. I'm no fan of him as a person or his lifestyle cheating on his wives. But he wasn't elected to be Pope, he was elected to be president. He's doing a good job. He's doing far and above better than what any Dem elected would do. I'd love to see someone with a more Reaganess demeanor and character, but those days have escaped us I fear. Politics is too dirty and corrupt for someone with much moral code to make it. Trump is about the best overall we are going to get. He's doing great things. It may be for egotistical reasons just so he can gloat over his success, but hell I'll take it as long as the country benefits!

Trump for me is like coach Cal. They are great at what they do and you can't argue with their success and results. But sometimes they do bone head things that make you want to strangle them. You always have this sense that if they weren't quite so stubborn, and would be willing to tweak themselves a little, they could be the absolute greatest at their respective professions. But they don't, and as frustrating as that is, they are better than the alternative so we continuing supporting them, even defending them at times because we understand how bad things could be without them.

I thought Fox had attractive women, and they do, but I watch OAN now and they have some lookers too. Why is it conservative women just look better?
There are some attractive liberal women but generally you are correct, seems to be many more nice looking conservatives. I've wondered the same. Perhaps it's that less attractive women aren't happy with themselves and they become liberal because misery loves company. I've never met a liberal that is truly happy with life. They are always upset about something. Also, research has shown that being angry and bitter all the time is bad for your health. Unhealthy people are unattractive. So maybe it's an endless cycle that causes it. Just spit balling.

He's in the matrix. Which is amazing because he specially has helped me see the bullshit in other authorities. He literally became an NFL radio host while openly making fun of the fact he knows nothing about the NFL. He used to rip sports journalism as a bunch of nerds who don't know anything and play favorites if a coach buys them a drink in a hotel bar. For some reason, those insights don't translate everywhere for him, especially politics. It's bizarre.
This is a really good post.

That is so very true. Watch them on TV as they stay in a rage. Thank God in real life I do not run in that crowd or their circle. I am retired so I pick my friends and don't have to work with them. I live in a Liberal Free Zone. I know it has added years to my life because the stress of being around a liberal can kill you.

That's my biggest problem with Jones is he believes that his opinion and solely his opinion is correct and it doesn't matter if he has any experience in it or not. If you disagree you are wrong.I have one child an almost three year old and Matt doesn't need to give anyone advice on how to raise a toddler until he has one. Do I spank him? Yes when the behavior determines it. I want my child to be behaved as much as possible but anyone with a toddler or has had one knows sometime they just don't behave. So as far as Jones giving advice on raising kids he needs to just stop until he has one. Its like when he complains about a kid crying in a public setting. Cut the parents some slack because sometimes that just happens and no matter what we do we can't automatically make it stop and we sure as hell don't need Jones making us feel worse about it by gawking at us and then turn it into a bit for the radio show. End Rant.
It's going to happen. He's going to get married and he's going to have a kid in his mid-late 40s. And it's going to be awesome to watch. B/c buddy, if you think you don't like hearing kids cry in a restaurant while you read and eat, wait til you can't make one stop crying at 3am.

As my dad told me once, I hope you have one just like you, lol.

ummm... doesn't it mean to put on your boots? ie, go to work?

and therein is the entirety of the argument... you absolutely can create success for yourself here like no where else, whatever success means to you.

you cannot do it in socialist, communist, or democratic socialist societies... not to the same degree, if any degree at all.

but yeah, if you want to get an international relations degree with who knows how much debt and noone wants to hire you so you bartend and nyc and undoubtedly spend more than you make, no you will not make it unless you get lucky when some soros backed political hack sees your "talent"
