Energized Lexington and Louisville flocked to Beshear. The attorney general received 36,500 more votes than Bevin in Fayette County and 99,000 more votes in Jefferson County.

How many votes did Bevin lose by? I could have said Jefferson Co. alone was the difference and still been correct.
Bevins lost by just over 5000 votes. The Lefties on here are acting like he won in a landslide. 5000 votes. That means Bevin won the rest of the state by over 130K votes. The rest of the state wasn’t even close. So yes those two cities took the election from Bevin.

Daniel Jay Cameron is the 51st Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky after winning nearly 58 percent of the vote and 113 of 120 counties. He is the first African American independently elected to statewide office in Kentucky's history and the first Republican elected to the Attorney General's office since 1948.

As legal counsel to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Cameron successfully spearheaded the confirmation processes for conservative federal judges, including Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. Cameron has served as spokesman for the Kentucky Smart on Crime Coalition, and in 2017, the Kentucky Narcotics Officers Association named him “Legislative Staffer of the Year.” His commitment to working with law enforcement was further acknowledged by the endorsement of the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police.

Thank you teachers!

I really hope Cameron challenges Beshear in 4 years.

I didn't blame it solely on one group. But they had a great deal to do with it.

Good riddance? And you claim to be a republican? Suuuuuure. Bevin left alot to be desired, but only hard core Dems and kea minions wanted him gone in favor of Andy. Which of those two categories do you fall into?

There wasn't one issue where Andy was stronger. Not a single issue.

Also now with an $83,000,000 shortfall in the retirement when will we see sick outs, marches, strikes etc?

Oh that's right. We won't.
I’m not the type of Republican that will vote for a punk, that’s what’s wrong with politics to begin with. Bevins kept insulting teachers publicly, well duh, we just saw that idiotic tact by house managers insulting the senate to get votes. Bevins beat himself and deserves 100% of the credit for that, he could have easily won had he not rubbed salt in the wound. Calling teachers thugs and saying they’re responsible for child abuse got him beat. I guarantee those comments were the difference in the election and rightfully so, those are outlandish comments. Hold Bevins accountable for his smartass mouth instead of expecting teachers to just take it because REPUBLICAN!!!

I stand up for what’s right over party lines. Everything I’ve ever posted is pro Republican except for this one topic and you act like I’m not Republican because of it. That proves how narrow minded you are and explains blaming one group of people because you saw it on the news. So if being Republican means you have to support any jackass that comes along then no I’m not that kind of Republican. I stand for what’s right and the way Bevins behaved was not right under any party.

We can solve climate change with 30 billion from taxing the rich!!!11

Yet the us government had 600 trillion or something in revenue.

It's actually maddening. I know and see several people who are legitimately concerned and anxious about climate change and reaching this ever moving goal post of unattainable funding (currently at 30 billion).

It's maddening the general public can no longer trust their politicians or their media. In the past politicians would spin the truth. Then they just started completely lying. And the msm helps them.

So you thought Andy was a better candidate in the issues? Not tact. Issues?

I didn’t personally but I can’t speak for everybody like you are trying to speak for teachers, if you think everybody has to value your thought on issues then there’s your problem. But once you start throwing outrageous insults to potential voters it doesn’t matter where you stand on the issues and any politician knows that. Hold Bevins responsible for his actions, if he blames you for child abuse are you still voting for him? I can tell you that virtually everybody would not vote for him.

You and the other guy are partisan morons, unable to see anything but REPUBLICAN!!!!!! You’re just like democrats who want the country to fail because they don’t like Trump. Just like you’ve been hoping teachers get what they deserve just because they either didn’t support or were against Bevins. If Bevins had called you a child molester I have no doubt you probably would still vote for him, your thought processing begins and ends with REPUBLICAN!!

Maybe your problem was you couldn't spell his name correctly. It's not Bevins...

Nope, it begins and ends with what is best for me and my family. Higher taxes, sanctuary cities, failed social programs are not the way I'm going to vote. You can be the nicest guy in the world, but if you're touting socialism, you wont get my vote. If you're a total ass, but you're whats standing between freedom or socialism, I'll still vote for you. I don't vote with feelings. I vote using logic and reason..

No you are a partisan hack, obviously teachers hurt your feelings or you wouldn’t be so jaded against them while holding Bevins to zero accountability for his incendiary comments.

It’s not governor either.

Yup, but it was. I'll just leave this with "83 million". Those aren't just mean words. That's a real number that will hurt thousands around the state for years to come. It's only the beginning. People like you who voted for this guy caused it. Sleep well, you just crushed the teachers pension.

You are incapable of a discussion without the name calling arent you? I'll stoop to your level just one time as I bow out and block you. You're an asshole. Adios

I didn’t vote for Beshear and don’t care for him, I defend teachers. You don’t blame teachers for child abuse and expect to get votes, get that through your thick skull.

Later dumbass, hopefully Hitler or Stalin reincarnated don’t run REPUBLICAN because they’ve got your vote.

You know why I’ll still vote for Trump? Because the Dems continue to call people like us racist, nazi, homophobic, white supremacist, bigots. Way to try and sway us over to their side if thinking and voting.

Exactly you can’t call people slanderous names and expect to win them over.

Funny how that bothers you but then expect teachers to get over their feelings when Bevins insulted them, the hypocrisy is a bottomless pit.

Agreed - CA democrats are definitely not the same as Kentucky democrats. I was simply pointing out that painting any county that goes blue with the broad "liberal shithole" brush is dishonest.
That’s fair, but bushrod was implying the same thing on the opposite end of the spectrum. If you vote red, you live in a county that is full of stupid people. We all need to put the broad brush down.

That said, I’m sick of seeing “educated” thrown up as if that means a damn thing. Some of the dumbest people I know went to college. Can’t change a tire, doesn’t know how a washing machine works, can’t budget their money, crossing the street without looking both ways kind of dumb.

The term “educated fool” exists for a reason.

Well it wont let me block you for some reason, so I guess I'll respond. If you were someone I could vote for and didnt because you're an asshole, youd have a point. However you arent. I've voted for plenty of people I would want nothing to do with on a personal level because their beliefs and policies better align with mine than the other guy. Despite the fact I think you're a complete and total idiot, if you were running an anti socialist campaign against a socialist, I'd vote for you. Lesser of 2 evils kind of thing.

The blue voters in nearly all states are predominantly in big inner cities. There you'll find the highest concentration of poor uneducated people anywhere. Even California is very red outside the big cities. It's also where you find the highest concentration of people looking for a handout...liberals/socialists
FACT!

Too dumb to ignore, BEVINS!!!

LOVE Dilley.

The term “educated fool” exists for a reason.

Unless the "education" is specialized in an even remotely useful field of study, I'd rather take my intelligence chances on someone who simply read a lot as a child.

Besides that, the term "educated" is tossed around when talking about voters like the majority of those holding a post-secondary education automatically learned a damned thing about econ or gov't or law or psychology (by God we know they all learn sociology, though) while they were busy paying+interest to skip class to get drunk and **** coos.
