With all of the Popeyes chicken sammich talk the last two weeks, I was wondering about their background.
If Popeyes is a better pc alternative to CFA, then I was expecting some sort of really woke family or corporate structure.
At one time Popeyes was family owned, but has been flipped numerous times.
Currently Popeyes is owned by Restaurant Brands International. RBI owns Burger King and Tim Horton. RBI is based in Canada.
RBI is owned by 3G Capital. 3GC owns Anheuser-Busch InBev, Heinz and Kraft. 3GC is Brazilian.
To make these acquisitions, 3G Capital partnered with Berkshire Hathaway(Warren Buffet) of Omaha, Nebraska, USA.
The company wholly owns GEICO, Duracell, Dairy Queen, BNSF, Lubrizol, Fruit of the Loom, Helzberg Diamonds, Long & Foster, FlightSafety International, Pampered Chef, and NetJets, and also owns 38.6% of Pilot Flying J;[3] 26.7% of the Kraft Heinz Company, and significant minority holdings in American Express (17.6%), Wells Fargo (9.9%), The Coca-Cola Company (9.4%), Bank of America (6.8%), and Apple (5.22%).[4] Since 2016, the company has acquired large holdings in the major US airline carriers, and is currently the largest shareholder in United Airlines and Delta Air Lines, and a top three shareholder in Southwest Airlines and American Airlines.[5]
That's a whole lot of corporate greed the lefties are supporting by being woke enough to buy those sammiches.
