Obama was at the bottom of a recession with 9-10% unemployment at the time...Trump has had a great economy that is about to go into recession.

One only had one way to go...up, the other only has one way to go...down.
Revisionist history.

Dow Jones hit its low of ~6,600 in March of 2009. Had already rebounded to over 12,000 by August 0f 2011, the equivalent time period of where Trump is now.

The reason Obama was less popular than Trump at this stage in their presidencies is because the economy rebounded not because of Obama, but despite Obama. Plain and simple.

Perhaps you didn't follow the post I replied to?

Your boy @blubo wrote:"The only reason we ever hear of the kkk is whenever a handful of them hold a “rally” and a group of leftist wingnuts show up to try to make it newsworthy, when, if they were ignored they would simply go away without incident, because 99.999% of people just don’t gaf."

I did not. My bad.

But he’s not wrong about the KKK. I never hear about them unless it’s on social media or MSM.

The difference IMO is a lot of the MSM play up the KKK/Nazis to be bigger than they are, like they’re relevant in 2019, while at the same time down playing ANTIFA and making them out to be equal rights activitists who are good guys. Can’t we say both are terrible?

Hell, the mayor of Portland thinks the riots the other day weren’t bad because no one was shot. ANTIFA pulling people off of buses and cracking skulls with pipes is just another day in Portland.

hahahahahahahah...isn't that rich...

DNC begging ex-pats in Mexico for money. Gosh damn, the irony of that is too much to unpack.

Immigrants coming in escaping hard times, DNC running out escaping hard times.

Having to go to a foreign country to scrap up cash from folks who left more than likely because they were pissed off at some BS like politics, liberals taking their money, shit hole rat-infested cities, overcrowding, homeless epidemic and the health/environmental issues that have followed, etc...

All I hear the wingnuts on here talk about is Antifa yet I have never seen nor heard of anyone who actually is Antifa other than on tv. I have seen and known of people who were KKK.
Maybe if you guys quit talking about Antifa they would go away...?

Not saying i don’t believe you, but when and where have you seen and known people who were kkk? just curious.

I’m no brainiac but isn’t soliciting money in a foreign country for the purpose of influencing a presidential election illegal?

This is a question all of us would like to know the answer to . I have lived in the Deep South all of my life and I have not seen a member of the Klan in over 50 years. To hear the dims and MSM you would think they are around every tree in the woods. I bet you could put every Klan member in America in a shoe closet.

Great read that sums up the MSM, SJW & the Lefty Brigade on this board: collective ignorance parading as truth. I know they will come back and say that it also describes the right on this board...and well, quite honestly...there's a little bit of truth to that as well.

Excerpts from the article...

Research at Yale University suggests the internet is making humans believe they are smarter than they actually are.

Could the Internet be enabling “opinion creep”? Accessing information with ease, we may believe we are well informed and yet be blind to the “enormity of our ignorance.” We think we are “experts” even when we know little.

We take that tiny bit of knowledge and, as Ferrell observes, elevate it to a conviction. Sloman and Fernbach write:

The feeling that overwhelms us is, “if only they understood.” If only they understood how much we care, how open we are, and how our ideas would help, they would see things our way. But here’s the rub: While it’s true that your opponents don’t understand the problem in all its subtlety and complexity, neither do you.

We share our “if only they understood” opinions with like-minded individuals. When the like-minded “like” our opinions, does our arrogance increase? At what point does collective ignorance parade as truth?
Who on here is a "like-minded individual" to me? How many "likes" do my posts get from the partisans here? The hypocrisy was so obvious you even had to preface it with a qualifier about it applying to yourselves, and y'all aren't known for your self-awareness. Echo chambers reinforcing the Dunning-Kruger effect is an issue for the right, left, AND middle. Hence my role as conservative bubble popper here, one of the loudest echo chambers on the internet.

Does this mean Trump can go on a world tour? Imagine the money he would make from shitholes starving for a strong democratic leader like Trump.

Same. The klan must be very active on the coasts in large liberal cities.

In Aug 2011 the unemployment rate was still 9%. People that don't have jobs couldn't care less about the market. Let's see unemployment go to 9% and see how popular your boy is then.

Your problem is that at this point there is only one way for the economy to go. Trump's highest approval rating ever has been 46% and that was immediately after being sworn in. So he got elected by the skin of his teeth and his popularity and approval have fallen from there. Not a good formula.

But you go on living in your echo chamber thinking everything good with the orange clown.

Same here.

From a small rural town. I can remember maybe 1 racial incident in my time growing up. Never met a white supremacist either.

Heard talk of some folks like that, don't think they belonged to an official club or gang though. Regardless, they kept to themselves in their own little backwood areas, never really saw or heard much fuss out of them.

This idea that folks are waking up in the morning and thinking about how they can hate and or oppress minorities is largely exaggerated.

The only white anarchists that I see running around acting a fool and creating chaos on a large scale is Antifa...yet another example of a problem that liberal cities/states have that not so liberal areas don't have...

It's not like they wear their klan name tags when they are out. I grew up in the mountains of s e ky. I've see and heard things.

Southeast Mo (Sikeston area) and Southern Indiana (Evansville area). The ones I knew were from those areas.

They also had a planned gathering in Murfreesboro, TN in 2017 but cancelled it before anything happened as 800-1000 people showed up in opposition to the 30 or so klan that had planned to rally.
