He's a great example of what's wrong. It's sad to think a person of such mediocre intelligence/ambition having a position where they're impactful on our youth.
Unions (prevent the firing of people just like bro) and the "pull down the top" mantra are two big reasons for the failure of the institution of education in our nation.
By contrast look how the institution treats actual motivated educators who want to make an actual difference and provide positive impact on all students. At best they're marginalized by being buried under nonsense paperwork and handcuffed by not being able to discipline/remove problem kids.
At worst they're demonized and silenced/pushed out. Because if the same effort and attention is applied across the board, the top students always take off while the low ones sag. This flies in the face of the crabs in a bucket approach, so the institution pushes these educators out.
