Sure...and since everyone that pays taxes should pay them for things that help American citizens not non citizens...so theres your money for ID without making people pay more taxes. Or the govt could stop wasting money, its favorite thing to do, and spend that on ID. You disagree with that? The reality is in most states it's not that hard to vote and it's a dumb talking point. Only a few states are strict with a photo id.
Did you know in KY you dont have to show ID? You can show a SS card and theyll probably let you vote with other proof of who you are, you can also vote if one of the precinct workers can vouche for you. In Ohio you can show a utility bill or bank statement as with many states...you can show anything with your name. Many states like georgia, Alabama, Virginia may require photo id....but they already offer free voter ID for anyone(which makes Stacy Abrams undermining of democracy look even more dumb). In Michigan and many others you can sign your name if you dont have an Id on you. Oregon doesnt even have polling stations- you just mail it in. Also- you can vote absentee without an ID. I can go through every state if you want...most if you have your registration card theyll let you vote too.
There are indeed many ppl without IDs...but there as of right now are only a few states that require a photo govt id where the state also doesnt provide them for free. They need to find a way to get them identification so they can vote.
