400 million guns in America. Laws aren’t going to fix the epidemic but teachers like you who enable kids and don’t hold them accountable can fix it. You have society in your hands. I hope your not brainwashing your 150 students.
It is inevitable, because he is brainwashed and does not even realize it himself. The kids he teaches will grow up thinking pedophilia is the natural order of things.

At this point let them have it. The federal government is too large to effectively govern and costs too much. States making their own rules would be much more sensible. When local politics come up on the ballot strengthen them, get people more involved. Don’t make people in Mississippi legalize gay marriage and if California wants to ban assault weapons or most firearms have at it.

Way too much power at the federal level and it really kicked in as a result of the civil war. That would have been the perfect time to recognize the cultural divide and reconcile it. Should have made a peace treaty between the USA and confederacy that ended slavery but let the south go it’s own way. The two nations would have been big time trade partners and allies but socially autonomous.
OK. Maybe. But that's 150+ years ago & we can't go back. We have to live with it.

I have been listening for this to be reported all morning on the radio. Not a word but they do mention the House has started back up their impeachment investigation on Trump.

The media has the ability to hide or not cover "truth" and they do a good job of it. If you depend on the MSM for news you are a sucker and are being fed an agenda. Not news.

Well at some point every American regardless of "side" loved guns. Liberals have taken the European Union globalist stance to take guns away from Western culture. All funded by globalists. I will kill before i give up my guns. If you think the U.S military will take citizens arms away then you have a problem. The U.S military will kill liberals and liberal leaders who try to take them. If you want to open Pandora's Box, then try to take away the 2A. It won't be pretty.
For over 250 years our government has called on it's "boys" to defend our freedom and protect the constitution. There are graves all over the world with 1,000's of our men and some women laying in them for giving up their life for our freedom and to protect our way of life. They were asked by the government to make the ultimate sacrifice and if it came to that.

Now liberals think we are going to allow this same United States government to peacefully take away our rights under the constitution? Are they that naive?.

Gun nuts? When you say shit like that you lose any respect you may have had. Yes we kicked the Brit’s ass outa this country. You butt hurt over that? People that come here from another country, then try to dictate how we live are scum.

I consider myself a golf nut. I don't see it as derogatory.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Person of color? Good
Colored person? Bad

I think it's pretty dumb one way is considered great and progressive, just flip the two words around its racist and bigot.

When is the NAACP going to reverse the last two letters of their acronym?

Does the United Negro College Fund still exist?

I’d say that makes you a hypocrite. First you spout off something derogatory in a subtle way, then when you get called on it, you make a post like this trying to walk it back a bit. Also means you waffle on everything and stand up for nothing.

Awwww man, I just don’t know how I will get through the day knowing you don’t respect me. I just don’t think I can bear it.

BTW, why is it a slip up vs. his true belief?
Trump accidentally says "Toledo" in reference to Dayton and all hell breaks loose in the Media. Biden "Slips up" and says Houston in reference to El Paso, then follows that by "slipping up" and referring to Dayton as "Michigan" (not even the right damn state) and now this. all in a matter of days.

Media...Crickets chirping.

Unfortunately, the hands of teachers are tied. They can't sit a kid in the corner or separate a group of mischief-makers without parents raising holey hell, complaining to the board, and getting lawyers involved.

One of the great undiscussed tragedies in America is how our school system has basically been castrated when it comes to treatment/discipline of kids and separating the good from the bad.

My mom told me how she had a little turd who basically refuses to participate and just wants to color on herself...can't do anything and if she tries, the parents raise a stink, call lawyers and administrators, etc. When that one wants to totally check out and take a nap. Do you know what they have to do? One would think, send her home, nope parents don't want the little heathen. Teachers have to let this little princess go take a nap. Here's the kicker. One of the few rooms there is to spare just for princess nap time sometimes is occupied by a really great advanced kid doing extra work.

Now, I ask you, guess who wins that battle? The pain in the ass who is going to be a drag on society or the advanced student who is going to be an asset like a doctor, engineer, etc...?

That's one story, of thousands over the years I've heard from my mom. I've known shit was going to go south for a couple of decades, because I've heard first hand from a teacher on the frontlines what is coming down the pipes via the educational system...bad and or worthless kids via bad and/or worthless parents and the cycle perpetuates itself because nobody can attempt to correct it via real education and some discipline.

In one of my Son's classes in High school, a large 16 year old male classmate physically attacked the teacher, hit him then tried to choke him, Teacher faught back, guess how the punishments went down...Student 3 day suspension, I think he was sent to the alternative school too. Teacher?...Fired. Fired for defending himself.

This X’s 1,000.

I work in a school system and you’re exactly right. The lazy/bad kids get to do whatever they want. One kid didn’t do a single assignment in class or homework. Their parents demanded they be moved on, so they were. That kid is in 5th grade now and can’t spell their own name.

The kids that yell, scream, kick and punch get to go to special rooms with toys, snacks and tablets. There have been as many as 15 students in this room at a time. We had a parent try to sue the school because someone held their kid to prevent them from banging their head into the concrete wall. Teachers are forced to be complicit in bowing down to these lazy trouble makers.

The public school systems will one day be nothing more than a giant remedial classroom because of ignorant school protocols and bad parenting.

We had a teacher restraining an out of control 5th grader. The teacher was against the wall and the 5th grader took his head and smashed it into the teacher’s Adam’s apple. He then kept it there cutting off his air. The teacher had to let go and exit the room.

This kid went unpunished by the way. No suspension. All of this because he didn’t “want to read the stupid book.” If that teacher pushes that kid off of him, he’s facing potential legal action and possible loss of his job. We live in a very backwards time as far as schooling goes.

Not surprising, unfortunately.

My mom teaches grade school, so she doesn't have to worry about physical, but these little demons get away with threatening her. Course, you can't red flag them because some parent, liberal, or special interest advocacy group will scream bloody murder.

I've told my mom she and other teachers need to start writing more op-eds and books about what going on.

A real look behind the curtain, like what Anthony Bourdain did with his time in the food industry with "Kitchen Confidential".

I don't think the general public really has an idea of what is going on. Teachers are looked at in a negative light sometimes because they protest pensions, wages, and most folks have always disdained the fact that teachers get a lot of time off. In reality, they're battling to keep society together with handcuffs on, with both sides of the aisle slashing education budgets (the one thing people can agree on, "lets slash education") and they're doing it for basically peanuts.

yes, look at the Obama feel-good racial policy nonsense that contributed to Parkland.

Exactly.

We’re creating a school system that doesn’t hold any student accountable and even encourages bad behavior and then some want act surprised once these kids grow up and cause mayhem.

schools are not for learning anymore, nothing more than a free babysitting service taxpayers provide, AND many principle's will not suspend the rotten eggs knowing the school meals are the only meals most of these kids get. School administrators hands are tied. Most parents dream of the day when school goes year round...( my wife works at an elementary school and see's this first hand )

Vox, literally this week:

Police “neutralized” the Dayton shooter in 30 seconds. He still shot 14 people.

The timeline is some of the strongest evidence yet that the “good guy with a gun” myth is just that.

What these idiots fail to realize is that there is no way to prevent crazy from being crazy.

The total wound up at 14 instead of 30 in that instance. In Missouri it was 0 instead of X.

Every life taken is tragic. These people are not just numbers. But to the maniac carrying out the killing they are just numbers. If there were a way to make sure that number was always 0, I’m all for it. But that way doesn’t exist, so I’ll take a good guy with a gun vs no one but the shooter with a gun.

Reality and common sense sure can be evasive these days.
