I am admittedly not as good as Christian as I would like to be...
I think I should be kind, respectful, truthful, and generous to all the people God puts in front of me today. Whether that person is white, black, or brown...man or woman...whether they are Muslim, have a terrible past, or whether they are someone far better than me...I think as a Christian I am to treat those I encounter on my journey with love and sympathy, treat them how I would like to be treated. I fail at that all the time.
But if I know a open border and a flood of immigrants...take for example Muslim migrants in Europe will mean the rapes in the country will sky rocket, terrorism will become a daily threat, and I will be letting in a population that will hate me, my traditions, and my children...am I suppose to support such evil?
I have sympathy for those seeking a better life but if we let liberals have their way with open borders it would mean making things easier for drug smugglers, gang members, child traffickers, terrorists, and leaches that just want to live off our money...I would be doing evil if I did anything to aid those people. Liberal immigration policies are a wet dream for the worst people...both in and outside the country. It is a Christian duty to oppose them and you.
And yet the employers go unpunished with absolutely no reason other than honesty to change their practices.

To lose money in the market, you have to be of some wealth. You can't be in it without money. The FAANGS top investors certainly are losing money.
They are bringing in what they need, without affecting the working adversely by flooding the market with workers lowering wages.

Your first paragraph implies/states the wealthy's wealth never drops in any market. That's plain wrong. If invested right, they can weather the storm & be ahead 5 years later.
If you can't afford to weather market drops, then you are not invested properly FOR YOU if you're largely in stocks. I'll argue that 80% bonds/CDs - 20% diversified stocks will protect you about as well as anything.
An advisor asked me how much of a wealth loss could you stomach/live with. I said 40%. He said in the event of a black swan, you could lose 90% of your equities. So 40%/0.9 = 45% is how much I should be in equities. Given I now get SS, I could take -50%. I'm off 7% this month at 55% equities.
Too bad Virginia went crazy. I use to love that state. Now I avoid it.
