I hope that clears it up.

By the way, since you're in the business of clearing things up for us know-nothing rubes, and you're vehemently against laundering money through a campaign and defrauding the FEC, would you mind clearing this up for me as well?

Matter of fact, now that I think about it, as passionate as you seem to be about this topic, I find it odd that you weren't it here clearing it up for us when the news first broke, like you suddenly are tonight. I have a guess but why is that?

Bombshell: FEC Records Indicate Hillary Campaign Illegally Laundered $84 Million

The mainstream media took no notice of a federal court filing that exposes a $84 million money-laundering conspiracy Democrats executed during the 2016 presidential election.

Crazy time to be alive. 3 big events today.

  • Manafort convicted of tax evasion. Left is certain this conclusively proves Trump is surrounded by crooks, and is a crook himself. Right says this has nothing to do with Trump, nothing to do with Russia.
  • Cohen pleads guilty to violating campaign finance laws, implicates Trump. Left says more evidence Trump is a crook, this is the beginning of the end. Right says paying women to stay quiet is a crime, and is a campaign contribution? Who cares?
  • Illegal immigrant arrested for killing Iowa coed. Left doesn’t notice, right is enraged and thinks this reflects exactly what is wrong with the left today.
Switching between Fox News and CNN is surreal. They don’t attempt to inform. They cheerlead.

It’s always dangerous to predict what will resonate. My guess is the people supposedly “moderate” or “Independent” will be more likely to dismiss the Manafort verdict (‘tax evasion?’) and Cohen plea (‘they paid someone to shut up, we knew what kind of person Trump is’) and be moved by the dead college student. IOW, as far as November goes, slight advantage Trump. Of course, other shoes could drop.....
you forgot Hunter being indicted for campaign corruption.

Actually it was him doing the whataboutism. I simply pointed out that murder is a lot more serious that tax evasion.

Since neither of them could explain to me then maybe you can. How is $130K campaign finance violation going to result in a felony charge for Trump, but a $1.8M campaign finance violation didn't result in a felony charge for Obama and $84M finance campaign violation didn't result in a felony for Hillary?
Perhaps because the $130K was used in an attempt to hide information from the public whereas the other was for failing to report contributions within a specific reporting window. Not that they weren't reported, just not within the window of time required. There's also the angle that missing the reporting window didn't offer any advantage. There was nothing salacious being hidden. It was a carless book keeping error.

The $84million is an unproven claim made by Trump and his allies. We still don't throw people in jail for unproven allegations. If it is true then why isn't Trump ordering his AG to pursue charges? Y'all keep forgetting, blaming Democrats for everything except Democrats don't control anything. Y'all got all the cards, why ain't ya playing them?

Politifact examined it and here is what they wrote:
Trump said Hillary Clinton "laundered money to Bill Clinton through Laureate Education, while Bill Clinton was an honorary chairman of the group." That's a serious of charge of illegal activity.

Actually, the State Department under Clinton never made any direct transfers to Laureate Education. Trump’s source conflates Laureate with a separate charitable organization that received funds from a separate government agency. The International Youth Foundation is a respected nonprofit that has received money from the government since the Bush years, before Clinton joined the State Department.

We rate this claim False.

Like the Obama admin and state dept throwing a man in jail for a youtube video that they lied about saying it created Benghazi? They literally ruined someone's life trying to cover up for them getting 4 Americans killed. You don't even know the stupidity in which you live your life.

the charge linked to McDougal that it was done "for the principal purpose of influencing the election." Regarding the charge linked to Clifford, Cohen said the money "was later repaid to me by the candidate."

Trump using his personal money to pay his lawyer to pay off a pornstar is influencing the election?

But Hillary using campaign money to pay her lawyer (Perkins Coie) to pay a foreign national (Steele) to pay a foreign government (Kremlin) for unverified slander on Trump and then feed it to the FBI disguised as intelligence who then uses it to get FISA warrants and spy on members of the Trump campaign isn't influencing the election?

What kind of bizarro world do you guys live in?

This board is like a training seminar for russian bots and far right moonbats. I thought Texas was bad when I was there and some of my employees were trying to get me to follow infowars but I think this board has out crazied even those whacko's. I'm pretty sure people didn't try to defend Nixon as much as people try with Trump, and Nixon was a lot more sane than Cadet Bone Spurs.

¿Qué pasa?

Did someone turn on a light? All the lib/dim cockroaches are scurrying about tonight.
Poor confused dithering dot. I guess when you get old enough, decrepid enough, or just corrupt enough, people being convicted while others are confessing to crimes will confuse those that never understood where straight up was to start with. Somebody should let Trump know insults are not a defense. Strange though that people who talk about others being unpatriotic prefer crime over their country.

[laughing] Yet, as always, here you are assuming Trump's guilt, ready to throw him in jail for an unproven allegation and dancing on his grave.

You do realize that the Manafort verdict doesn't prove that Trump colluded with Russia, nor does Cohen's plea deal prove that Trump violated campaign finance laws.

Seriously, spare me. The due process crusade is laughably hypocritical coming from you, especially when you've been hanging Trump for treason going on two years now.

You and your lib friends are still chest pumping to something that no one will even be talking about come next monday. poor losing souls.

yet none of you seem to care about another young girl being murdered by an illegal. It's almost as if democrats cheer for white people to be slaughtered by illegals.

Given that (a) those who lack empathy are able to do whatever it takes to make the most money, (b) studies have shown that immense wealth kills empathy, and (c) money translates directly into political power, it is only natural that we now find ourselves ruled by sociopaths. ---- C Johnstone

This is more than likely where we're headed. It made for an exciting news day, but unless Cohen has much more -- which according to the plea deal there's no cooperation agreement listed and he's still under NY's jurisdiction and not Mueller's so it's doubtful he does -- then this out of the news cycle by next week.

Sorry, but even if proven true, the president isn't going to be indicted and/or impeached for an FEC violation. It's not happening. You're delusional and setting yourself up for disappointment if you believe otherwise.

You can tell the left really opened the check books and authorized extra spending on trolls this evening.

The usual left residents posting as fast as their fingers can type. And new accounts that never posted before spring out of nowhere.

I can only imagine what Reddit, Twitter, etc look like tonight.

This happened too but with zero media coverage. A possible Hezbollah spy from Pakistan who worked with the democrats gets no jail time. Manafort getting sent to the gulags for tax fraud. What a f***** up country the left is turning us into.

So we got to learn a bit more about right wing tactics of deflect and change the subject tonight. Do NOT want to address the most important stories.

Yet today vehemently argues for keeping all of our Confederate statues.
I don't argue for keeping Confederate statues. I do, however, wonder where all the vandalism and lawlessness will end. Will the Washington Monument be torn down? What about the Jefferson Memorial? What will satisfy? What will be enough? And what does it have to do with justice, or equality?

My stomach turns at seeing Muslims in the west. They have no place here at all. Their backwards ideology and scumbag death cult culture belongs in the hellhole where they came from.
They have just as much of a place here as you do. Why do you hate these people just because of their religion? You don’t know them.
It's almost as if democrats cheer for white people to be slaughtered by illegals.
There goes your “we only care about their legal status, not race” excuse. You slipped up and accidentally told the truth.

Payment to Daniels and McDougal is baked into the cake already. When Trump denied paying them no one actually believed him. Not even his staunchest supporters. Everyone assumed he cheated on his wife with pornstars and then paid for their silence. This doesn't really move the needle.

Also for some unbiased perspective. From Liberal Democrat Alan Dershowitz:

"Violation of election laws are regarded as jaywalking in the realm of things about elections. There are so many of them. Every candidate violates the election laws when they run for president. Usually they pay a fine or something like that. Here they're trying to elevate this into an impeachable offense or a felony against the president. They haven't yet but they may name the president as an unindicted co-conspirator and that's very unfair because then he'll have no opportunity to defend himself and yet that may happen. This is the beginning of a story that will unravel over time but it isn't as lethal as some are portraying."

Bullshit. Moderate muslims who dont practice the culture of islam are fine with me but the ones who do are the scum of the earth. There in the same category as white supremacists and BLM as far as I'm concerned.

Move to Iraq or Afghanistan and see how long you live for. Keep us updated
