I do distinctly remember after the Obama Administration touted the negotiations that would supposedly get rid of Syria’s weapons...the media was gushing, Chris Hayes went on the air that night and declared ‘this is what diplomacy looks like’. Diplomacy only works if the other side knows you aren’t to be trifled with. And due to America’s military and resources, the United States should always negotiate from a stance of strength with the understanding that there will be consequences if we are lied to or manipulated.
Obama’s ‘lead from behind’ strategy was not only ridiculous on its face, but it ensured just how the world would treat him.
The media, at home and abroad, may have loved Obama but world leaders smelled weakness from the get go and treated Obama as weak for 8 years. Iran treated him that way, Cuba did, Russia did, China did...Obama, like the rest of the Left, always detested America’s strength and influence...not surprising he would continually show a weak posture on the world stage.
Theodore Roosevelt remarked he was fond of the proverb: speak softly and carry a big stick. The Obama doctrine was speak softly, bow, and carry an apology note.
Someone isn't waiting to see what cheeto face will do. Syria is currently being hit with missiles and it isn't from the US.

It was inspiring how he overcame this personal tragedy and the slings of the anti- liberal MSM to defeat incumbent J Edgar Hoover.

Now instead of using the honor system -- releasing illegals caught crossing border on the promise they'll show up to their immigration hearing, which 80% never do, and they get away because we have no idea who the majority of them really are -- they'll sit in jail and wait for their hearing.

The U.S. only has space to detain 40,000 immigrants at a time, and the order directs the Pentagon to determine whether there are military buildings that could be used for this purpose. It asks Defense Secretary James Mattis to compile"a detailed list of all existing facilities, including military facilities, that could be used, modified, or repurposed to detain aliens for violations of immigration law at or near the borders of the United States."

Why even bother to do this? Just send them back. We shouldn't be taking on the expense of feeding/clothing/sheltering 40k+ illegals at any given time.

pretty ****ed up. Trump bungled this hurricane even worse than Bush, as if that was possible. They are americans and nobody even cares. 6 months later and they still are in bad shape with most living in tarp covered shacks. upwards of 20% of the population has moved to Florida. Gonna add a lot of Dem votes.
