I actually agree with Trump on something. US companies wanted access to China's markets so bad they let the fox in the henhouse. It's a complete joke what China has gotten away with in regards to intellectual property. Add to that issue the fact China does little to stop counterfeiters or IP thieves and you a China that can now replicate just about any product or technology a US company has. Never should have let China in the WTO but what's done is done. Gotta figure out how to battle back. Oh yeah they did have a framework. It's called TPP which had a bunch of IP protection built in along with other rules that would have helped level the playing field. I seriously doubt most people who oppposed it even read the proposed framework. Now instead we're left out in the cold and Asia/Europe and Africa are joining China's silk road project.
