Interesting...considering I thought the cameras supposedly were not on at the time he died.

Very interesting. He was on suicide watch, so how on earth did he get something to kill himself? Plus two guards just walk away from someone on suicide watch? That would never happen.

Im not buying it.

I don’t live in Lex, but this is the sort of thing I would want if I lived there. I like the greenbelt parks in Louisville and like the improvements to the waterfront.

I give an annual contribution to the Parklands in Louisville, because I use and enjoy the park. I believe that park is a mix of private and public funds. The website says more than $70 million comes from private sources, $38 million from federal funds, $10 million from the state, and $1.5 million from Metro government. It does not receive taxpayer funding for annual operations.

People can debate the legitimacy of any of that public funding, but the mix of private and public funding for projects people want is probably good.

I would think Lexington could do the same. If you cannot raise a chunk of the cost through private donations, it might not be a project worth doing.

Lex just approved a park tax for projects/improvements/etc starting next year. It will be interesting to see how that money is spent.

Regarding the river park....this property was bought 3 years ago for $2M so it wasn't as if this was some pressing need to get this off the ground. I will stand by the fact that this town can better utilize $14M at this present time.

In a sweeping victory for the US Constitution and the Rule of Law, Trump tariffs were ruled unconstitutional. Which of course they are. So is DOGE of course, but it looks that crime partnership is imploding under the weight of Trumps own narcissism.

Don't give up on those boycotts. They are feeling the pain.

Walmart, Target and other companies warn about growing consumer boycotts

Companies are warning investors about the risks of becoming the next target of angry customers.

Corporate America is required to disclose risks to their businesses in their annual regulatory filings. This year, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Corona-parent Constellation Brands join an increasing number of companies advising investors about customer and legal backlash to their diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies and environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. They’re also giving notice of the risks of rolling back these programs.
Boycotts work both ways too. Target and Tesla are getting hammered by liberals for supporting conservative initiatives I believe.

As Michael Jordan said, the best thing for people who want to sell stuff to everybody is to stay out of politics.

Right!? I'm an unhinged loon, and an idiot, but even I can figure this out. Why dont they stop fkn around already!

Maybe the Swamp runs coast to coast to coast... and comey must have some serious juice behind him.
Or maybe, all of this crap is just made up foolishness to give the right wing shock jocks to have something about which to be outraged. All the while, the obscenely wealthy are picking your pockets as we undergo one of the largest transfers of wealth in our nations history. Unless of course, you're a billionaire, then I congratulate you.

I voted for Trump, but this Chrisley pardon rubs me the wrong way. Change my mind
This and two other actions.

Among those in attendance was China-born crypto entrepreneur and billionaire Justin Sun, who posted a video of himself, underscored by triumphant music, entering the ballroom and dressed in a tux. Sun won first place in the dinner contest with his $18.5 million wallet, and is also the largest publicly known investor and an adviser to World Liberty Financial, the Trump family's crypto platform, which has made them hundreds of millions of dollars. On Wednesday, Sun also posted a video of himself visiting the Executive Office Building, part of the White House complex. In February, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission paused its 2023 fraud case against Sun, citing public interest.

I'm with Musk, Chip Roy, & Sens. Johnson & Scott on this: The OBBB costs too much/doesn't save a damn thing.

"... Musk gave new fuel to GOP critics of the Republicans’ multitrillion-dollar tax and spending agenda, saying that the current measure failed to reduce the federal deficit, echoing complaints from hard-line factions in both the House and the Senate.
The bill narrowly passed the House last week with almost all Republicans on board and now heads to the Senate, where some fiscal hawks, including Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Rick Scott of Florida,
have demanded deeper cuts."

Any one who thinks the House bill is good ain't a conservative.

Stopped by an activist lefty judge.
The constitutionality has actually not been determined yet.
The SC is the arbiter of such.
Regarding DOGE, finding libs hidden slush funds is not illegal, just inconvenient for them/you.

What is so twisted is that Tweaky Sam acts like he won something. Yeah, you won current and future Americans continuing to get the economic shaft by nations like China and the EU. You won unelected judicial tyranny over the will of the American people. Yet this clown is so absolutely bought into the propaganda and villainization of one man, they he parades around like a fool tooting his horn when Americans get screwed and corruption continues. Congrats, Tweaky. Foreign nations and bureaucrats in DC thank you for supporting their financial rape of you. That is how bright he is.

He's not contributing, but on the dole. He's got to be a gov employee. At least MAGAboutBlow admits it.

This might be the quickest case of eating crow ever.

Tesla's stock says otherwise and I think the Liberals pissed on Target for pulling some of their controversial products or backing off some of their wokeness, not because they supported conservative initiatives. Target is still woke as hell, they just figured it probably not best to alienate half your customer base and backed off shoving their wokeness in the customers faces.

Not that it matters since the tariffs can continue, but it was a three judge panel who originally ruled it violated the trade laws.

  • Judge Timothy Reif: A Trump appointee.
  • Judge Jane Restani: A Reagan appointee.
  • Judge Gary Katzmann: An Obama appointee

Target made political statements with their bathrooms. What did Tesla do that was political?
