Someone posted on here about having symptoms of long covid... Hope you're feeling better, but if not there is a study with a HUGE sample size that demonstrated positive effects against several conditions among those who use nicotine products. (Does NOT recommend smoking lol)
Heard about a study they're doing or have done on nicotine use/users as a possible immune boosting treatment (patches?) for people with long covid, parkinsons, and other ailments like myocarditis. Was going to share that on other thread and just remembered it. Not conclusive, and I'm still reading it all, but correlative at least so far that these conditions are all down percentage wise vs all other categories in terms of some of these issues among people that use nicotine products.
One report related to it stated some individual cases saw improvement related to carditis, long covid, and parkinsons symptoms, but it can be contraindicated with current pharmaceutical treatments for those issues. Something we should all look into more maybe

The broader message of that article is that the data has been skewed for many years not just under Biden. It was not an article slamming Biden, it was an article slamming data collection methods.... The same ones Trump and everyone else has used.
I don't expect them to go up more than 3%. Foreign manufacturers aren't going to pull their products from the market. Doubt they'll raise prices. If US automakers want to capitalize, they need to keep their prices down.

Do you realize we promised that we would never pull NATO into eastern Europe in order to facilitate the reunification of Germany? Seems like a promise kept to me. Why do we need to be there anyway? Outside of being the world police and practicing in a proxy war? What is Americas tax payer interest in Ukraine (I'm willing to listen, sincerely) that wouldn't apply to anywhere on earth. If Europe wants to defend Ukraine from Russia, let them do it.
As a side note, and related, i am curious to whatever became of the hints (early on) that Ukraine held bioresearch labs and our concern Russia would gain control of those and a) have our research and b) tell on everyone doing it.

We did, but once the iron curtain fell democracies started to sprout in the Balkans and Russia Satellites. These democracies want to join and strengthen the alliance and that only makes the pact stronger. Also, Russia promised to never invade Ukraine and they broke that promise first. Just my personal sentiment, but a little tax money now can turn into a big trade partner in the future, see Japan and South Korea as evidence of this.
If these biolabs are real, I'm hoping that all that comes out in the open and people are held accountable. If they are not real, I hope that some people slow down on the conspiracy theories they peddle.

Ukraine is an absurdly corrupt country that has gotten magnitudes more tax dollars than they ever should have. They don’t deserve a dime of our tax dollars, and certainly not until they help us account for every penny they’ve gotten and clear out any corruption found in the process. IF all that happens, then we can discuss financially helping them. But not a second before.

It makes zero sense that abortion and murder don't define a life at the exact same point, wherever the state decides to define it (within reason, of course). How can it be murder if the fetus(es) is 12 weeks old in a murder situation and let the mother have an additional X number of weeks before the exact same fetus is defined as a life with regards to abortion? I wish Congress would pass that law: state abortion definitions of life and murder definitions have to be the same and leave it at that.
