Probably could have fed his whole school for a year with the money spent on a Tranny Superman comic book in Uzbekistan or wherever the phuch it was.
And I’m not suggesting we reallocate this to the bottom. Most of this wealth trickled from the middle class. I’d like to see this reappropriated to where it belongs.
This infographic is easy to digest, but my problem is that the top 1% have 44 trillion in assets. The bottom 50% or 167 million Americans has 3.7 trillion in total.
The wealth built up by the middle class was transferred to China while the Waltons took a cut. The problem is, the middle class let it happen by listening to Econ professor hucksters and voting for “free” trade. You get what you get.No you wouldn't.
The taxes to provide your social safety net, i.e. your welfare state, have to come from the middle class as they do in Europe. That's the only way to collect them without stunting economic activity.
In your worldview, that money was "taken" from the middle class and "given" to the corporations and wealthy. It's just not the reality. That's not what happened. "Taking it back" fixes nothing.
Would like to know as well. We will be getting back into the chicken game when it warms back up. we had chickens before, but mostly bought feed through rural king or fed scraps. would love to find a reliable source for inexpensive feed.
Like I said. It would be more effective in the long run if done properly.Ripping the band aide off was the only way.
You would be correct if you dropped the 'K'.Yep. you know it didn't cost $70K to put on a lgbtq play in Chile. You could do that for $5K tops. They used the other $65K for secret stuff. Same with food. Even though that sounds good they use that to bribe people and smuggle drugs.

We’re always talking about the bottom having skin in the game, which is a phrase used when people talk about switching strictly to a consumption tax. I think DOGE will do a tremendous job at cutting the necessary pork to make a dent in our deficit, but I think we need to address this consolation of wealth if we want to be serious about lowering the debt.
Rip one bandaid off and buy a new one with tax payer dollars.Ripping the band aide off was the only way.
Funny how sambowieshill arrived within the 1st year of the Obama presidency...
Congress controls the purse.... Not the executive branch.Federal judge delays Trump administration's buyout deadline for federal workers
Trump's buyout deadline has been delayed to at least Monday
So, if you have a regular job your employer can offer you a buyout....no big deal. You can walk in the office on Friday morning and by lunch you can unemployed. But the poor Federal government workers.....................
I addressed it in a follow up, but these assets didn’t appear from a cloud of smoke, but rather through calculated means that stripped them from middle class.Do you know what assets are? Your house. Your car. Your business. Your PJ. Your investments. Your Balance Sheet items. In America and most of the world, you are taxed on your income. Your Profit and Loss statement.
They have ASSETS. Those assets were purchased/acquired somehow. Likely after tax if they were purchased. Inherited there was certainly a significant tax paid there too. Aside from envy or petty jealousy, why do you covet what someone else has? How does someone in that group having a lot of assets prevent you from having anything at all?
Gonna say a lot of it. If they were willing to sew civil unrest abroad, they certainly wouldn't hesitate to do it here, especially in an election year when they are about to lose.
Ain’t it grand?🤣

It's incredible how the public is filled with sheep who let the TV scare them all the time into doing stupid shit. God help us if there was a legit catastrophe or the cities will eat each other.
I just now noticed who was doing it.
Might wanna run that by one of USAID's biggest fans ... And new director....Little Marco Rubio.
They are following the law.... Unlike the clown in the Ovaltine Office.Trump should just say forget about the buyouts and fire everyone.
SCOTUS needs to reign in these corrupt judges and their injunctions.

I get called a socialist on here for good reason, in part to my inability to fully explain my beef with the wealthy. My big problem is that wealth was stolen from the middle class and I’d love to see it returned back.
These morons seem to think These guys just have their billions sitting in a bank account at PNC with a debit card.Do you know what assets are? Your house. Your car. Your business. Your PJ. How do you all fall for this? The "problem" is that the same is true of the rich. If we increased taxes on their assets, is that going to make all of us richer? I doubt it, not as much as taxing everyone less, government wasting less would. That's tried and true.
This from Trump should be interesting with the above:So the idea of big tax cuts appears to be blowing in the wind. House Pubs can't even make the current tax rates permanent, much less cut taxes on tips & SS, because Pub deficit hawks won't go for it w/o more spending cuts (Good for them.). Then Senate Pubs plan to put off tax cuts till late in the year. So much for campaign promises.
Ha ok so a bunch of inarguable facts you refuse to open your eyes to
Never let a leftist lecture you on a single thing! They are incapable of any critical thinking or ability to go against their political masters, Think about how crazy the left is that we have got to this place that is 100% DUE TO DEMOCRATS.
Looks like she could lose 50 pounds every time she takes a dump.HAHA
Sure, sure. Either she is taking Ozempic or she simply took out the 50-pound pancake Sloppy Joe she stuffed in her pocket before weighing herself.
Like I said, income taxes.![]()
Do wealthy Americans pay enough in taxes? While some lawmakers propose raising taxes on the United States’ highest earners to help fund other initiatives or reduce the federal deficit, there are questions as to how much progress that might yield or if tax law could be targeted more effectively.
Whether the rich and wealthy pay their “fair share” is a subjective question but government data shows that they do pay the most in volume. For tax year 2021, the most recent available data, the top 1% of earners paid nearly 46% of taxes, according to an analysis by the National Taxpayers Union, a nonprofit that favors lower taxes and a simpler code.
The top 5% pay more than 65% of federal income taxes, the highest 10% pay 75% of them and the top 25% are accountable for 89%. The bottom half of earners, who make below $46,627 a year, paid just 2% of federal personal income tax, according to the report.

So how much do the rich actually pay in taxes?

This from Trump should be interesting with the above:
"White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt added that there will be a concerted push for no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security for seniors, no tax on overtime pay, tweaking the caps on SALT, nixing the breaks for billionaire sports team owners, and ending the carried interest loophole."
Could be Trump on Pubs.
Like MAGA people are the group most concerned about waste on DEI. LOL.I don't think even the staunchest MAGA people on here realize how much was wasted on DEI.
I would assume MAGA people (I am one myself) would be pretty pissed about anybody spending money on DEI.Like MAGA people are the group most concerned about waste on DEI. LOL.
