This. You will never get anywhere close to good governance without accountability and consequences. Take the Trump/Russian collusion nonsense, the only person in the government I think was charged was an FBI lawyer Clinesmith who doctored a Carter Page email so the FBI could get a FISA warrant.
The FBI has a lot power (the power to ruin lives), when that power is abused and the abuse is caught...the offender within the FBI should be given the maximum sentence. You put enough people in the federal government in jail for abuses of power and wrongdoing, guess what...you will have less such abuses in the future cause finally they know there will be severe consequences for a change. Clinesmith's excuse was he was going through a bad divorce.
The judge just said altering the email was a 'shortcut' and gave him probation even though Clinesmith could have gotten a ten year prison sentence:
“My view of the evidence is that Mr. Clinesmith likely believed that what he said about Mr. Page was true,” Boasberg said. “By altering the email, he was saving himself some work and taking an inappropriate shortcut.”
McCabe in the FBI lied to the FBI on multiple occasions about the Trump investigation and an inspector general appointed by Obama said he deserved to be fired and lose his pension. Trump fired him, first week in office Biden reinstated McCabe's pension that will be in the hundreds of thousands...as always no real consequences or accountability.

That’s not even counting the 51 former intelligence officers who signed off on the Hunter Biden laptop open letter. They said it was Russian misinformation, when the laptop had already been in the FBI’s possession for a year, at that point. That was straight up election interference AND treason.
There has been more treasonous activity from this administration than the rest of them, in my lifetime (51 years old), combined. EASILY the most vile, dishonest, unethical, un-American operation to occupy the WH in at least the last century. Probably ever.
