I was working in Civil Service for the last one and was essential so, I had to continue to work. Those who were not essential were off and after coming back were paid anyway so they could "pay their bills". So, it became a paid vacation added on to their already generous paid vacation days.

What has Trump proposed with regards to mental illness? Does he have a plan? Does he even have a concept of a plan? Or is it the same as always where people throw out helping mental illness to avoid doing anything tangible with guns ? They say “mental illness is a huge problem” but won’t fund it in any way at all.

1. Trump isn't the POTUS, nor has he been the last 4 years, but that is irrelevant, as this doesn't fall on Biden either. There are psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, priests, EAP services, counselors, teachers, etc....who are capable of dealing with one's mental issues, if deemed applicable.

2. What "plan" are you referring to? Magic pill to cure whatever is ailing someone who is considering shooting someone?

3. Avoid anything tangible to do w/ guns? There are gun laws out the ass right now, and how do those work? How are they working in Chicago? How are they working in Aurora?

4. Funding mental illness? Billions are allocated each year to National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and other programs.

For someone to get help, they have to want help, or the signs need to be obvious to others. Often these are ignored or simply deemed not worthy of attention.
