I like this, but I don't like it at the same time. I love good trolling as much as anyone, and I do find it hilarious he called him governor.. but at the same time, this is the sort of thing I kind want to see him move away from. And not because I'm standing on some moral high ground (as if I have much of one anyways).. it's more so because this is the sort of behavior that turned off a lot of moderates.

I'd be a happy citizen if Trump just went to work, instituted the plethora of policies we all voted for, and never heard a peep from him other than when he has to address the nation.

If you’re worried about turning off moderates, this is going to be a long two years. The midterms are a lost cause. What needs to be done at the macro level will cause some micro pain in the short term.

Just do what’s right, like treating Trudeau like the clown he is, and make good policy.

History (at least since 2016) has shown the Republican establishment does not give a shit whether it’s the majority party or minority party, so long as they’re maintaining the grip on the party.

Replacing Ronna McRomney was a good step. But team McConnell still held control of the Senate.

The establishment cares about funding wage MIC and pharma. They don’t give a shit about how much tax is taken out of your paycheck.

I saw that Lara Trump announced she is stepping down. I know Crosbie of Kentucky is running, but no nothing of this person. I assume Trump might be prepped to replace Rubio.

I asked everyone what they hoped would be accomplished in the first 6 months. I don't want to see divisions in the GOP like we see in the dem party. I've read enough to understand theres MAGA and RINOS, but for many measures they were in step together. I mentioned Cheney earlier, but even Kinzinger voted with Trump a majority of the time.

What I hope to see in Trump's 6 months are:

Mass deportations
Tariffs that result in business beginning plans to return to US
DOGE drastically trimming government fat.
Price gouging and inflation drop.

This happen and I won’t complain at all.

I am very pro-government, which is the polar opposite of most here. That’s not going to happen in the next couple of years so I might as well embrace this approach. If it is done earnestly and is successful, I’ll rethink my stance on government intervention.

I have no intention of ever retiring. I plan to work until I drop dead. Hopefully a long time in the future. I have to live in a way that I have become accustom. And retiring at 67 with just $5k/mo on SSI does not work for me. Hopefully 47 and the GOP can fix SSI, I'm fine with moving the age to 70. I forgot the projections but when I get to that age $5k/mo taxed is a joke.

I enjoy working and leading a growing business. Making an economic engine for a lot of peoples future. Don't knock it just because you settled for babysitting.

Don't knock babysitting and 30 years of travel, family time, friends and fun before ya croke. To each their own.

My pay wasn't great but I lived within my means, stayed out of debt, paid off my house and drove inexpensive cars for 10 plus years a vehicle.
Not everyone is capable of that. If you are... It was not a bad living so long as you had a working spouse.
Would not recommend it as a career now though. Worse pay. Worse benefits. No decent pension. No SS benefits.
It's a dead end career now if you want a comfortable life and retirement.
Pay was not great back then but better comparatively than it is today. Only place it pays to teach in Ky is Jeff Co and that is a rough gig for the $$$.
