Funny story... I went to the Knob Creek Gun Shoot over 20 years ago. A dude was trying to sell be a bullet proof vest. He said that he'd worn it several times to prove it worked. I was dubious and he offered to let me shoot him from 10ft while he wore the vest.... I made fun of him to the point he left his own booth. LOL. Dude didn't know me from Adam and was ready to let me shoot him in the chest with 9mm... LOL.

Only reason that chick won in Mexico is because around 20 politicians were murdered the year before the election. The cartels backed her....

Horrible idea and waaaaaay too little time for me to explain WHY it would NEVER work. Suffice it to say that economics provides better ways to grow an economy than to steal from others. You need to study supply side economics.

Debt is too bad to just cut spending and increase taxes. We have to aggressively grow our way out of this mess. The people who think we can cut $50 billion and raise taxes 10% have never actually ran a business or read books on economics that weren't written by Harvard grads.

What would you replace it with?

When SS was first set up. We had 42 workers for every retiree. Now it's like 4 to 1. It's unsustainable whether you want to change it or not. It's not like you can tweek something and fix it. Best you can do is extend it's life another 5 years or so.

It was a close enough election where winning was possible. She did well in the debate so she was not as incapable as you claim. But she was afraid of taking chances and making mistakes, so she didn't go on Rogan or do a number of things that any sensible candidate/campaign would have done. Bottom line - she ran a poor campaign.

She got 90% favorable coverage from the media. Trump got 90% negative media coverage. She did well in the debate???? The mods helped her and attacked Trump. The whole point of her not doing Rogan was that they couldn't depend on him playing ball and doing her a solid. This race was only close because the MSM colluded with the globalist to try to gaslight a presidential race.

I know it's way too early (kind of like the b'ball NCAA tourney brackets for '26 that will come out in June of '25), but I wonder if these shifts are permanent or just Trump. Will these demographics vote R when Trump is not on the ticket. When illegals aren't flooding the country will Hispanics, who did it the legal way, vote R,. The black males who saw the 'lawfare' for what it was. Young men who voted for him because of the 'bravado' after an attempted assassination. Etc.

A discussion for 3 years from now.

It's issues based. It's why people like Mitch and VH need to leave national politics to the MAGA wing of the party. They are 65 million vote party. MAGA is a 75 million vote party and no Cheny's.... win win.
