The first chart is very interesting. The Republicans go down as the Independents go up, while the Democrats stay roughly the same. Seems to be the opposite of your thesis. Rightwingers going from calling themselves Republicans to more extreme Independents who don’t even identify as Republicans.
They only called 71% of races correctly though. Many on that list were over 80%, several over 90. SurveyMonkey was 97%.
