Maybe it's that aforementioned being surround by Trumpers, but I'm not nearly as confident. Politics are complicated but Trumpers are not. They will drag themselves over hot coals to vote for him. And Biden obviously does not engender anything like that kind of support, any enthusiasm on his side is just enthusiastically anti-Trump.
Nebraska's 2nd District has been gerrymandered since Biden won it in 2020 by Nebraska's Republican legislature. It's very possible Trump will win it this year. That means even if Biden holds ALL the Rust Belt swing states (WI, MI, and PA) he STILL needs another of NV, AZ, or GA (or obviously something else but those are imo the most likely). The EC is a tall climb for any non-rural party this year.

Do R's just stick with him no matter what, follow his MAGA plan off a cliff, and then in 2028 let Trump be the nominee again? I think they will.
