POLITICAL THREAD

How will they rule ??!

  • YES - Qualified

    Votes: 41 82.0%
  • NO - Disqualified

    Votes: 9 18.0%

  • Total voters
    50
  • Poll closed .
New Reuters/Ipsos poll shows:

- 10% of registered R's less likely to vote for Trump now
- 25% of registered Indep. voters less likely to vote for Trump now

Some of the numbers show little to no change while a group of R's (35%) and a group of I's (18%) polled are more likely to vote Trump now.

Numbers will continue to fluctuate but again, I'll be very surprised if becoming a convicted felon is an overall positive for Trump that lifts him back into the WH. This thread ain't real life and there's very few people who might still be on the fence who are now like, "alright, Trump might be a felon now but this is still too far...I'm voting for the felon." This has ignited Trump's core base...but they'll put Donald Trump as a write-in even when he's dead.

Also on Jan. 6 - probably best for this thread to just leave it alone at this point. I've read every conspiracy theory and every spin posted here since it happened, from it being Antifa, to the FBI, to being fake, to not actually being an insurrection. Spinning J6 just to make yourselves feel better is silly. Best to just say it was really dumb and a really bad look for Trump and some of his hardcore supporters/fans and leave it be.

Yeah, we believe you have read it all. Sure you have, Hall Monitor.

You know you're right...the Republican Party as a whole should really remind the country over and over about the insurrection and how they're supporting a convicted felon. Please do that.

Separate from that, a Morning Consult poll shows:
- 49% of Independents think Trump should drop out.
- 54% of registered voters either "strongly" or "somewhat" approve of the guilty verdict.
- 15% of likely R voters believe Trump should drop out, 8% of self-proclaimed Trump supporters feel the same.

I guess the really positive polling numbers for a newly convicted felon running for POTUS will be in soon...

Geez, we know when you feel puffed with self righteousness and political joy, you post a lot.

LOL at the WNBA. Virtually nonexistent for decades in terms of relevancy and fan interest. Then a generational talent comes along who captures the attention of the country and brings more eyeballs and fan interest than ever before, and players in the league seem intent on destroying her with cheap shots and foul play.

Women will eat each other.

Appreciate the research but "which appears to refer" means nothing. Also why are we now taking Hunter's word? Isn't he an awful, drug addicted embarrassment who belongs under a prison?

I could also post a clip of Trump saying some very cringy things about young girls and his own daughter if you like. I was once a big Howard Stern fan.

Why would we take Joe Biden’s word? He is a pathological liar. And, I do not mean that as hyperbole.

So does this mean after Trump gets re-elected , some prosecutor in the reddest county in, say , Mississippi can run on a pledge of going after Biden , get elected, indict him, then get a judge assigned that isn’t even a part of the eligible judge pool, and who also donated not only to the Republican party but a Stop-BIDEN pac, and whose daughter is a Republican fundraiser bundling millions for the Republicans using the trial as a basis, and the judge during the trial can then make several rulings that leave legal analysts on both sides shaking their heads……?
This! Libs are some stupid fvcking people! Cheering on the absolute mockery of the US Justice system is disgusting. All because of their TDS!

it’s because of what she looks like

This is where I'm at. This case was seen as a bit weak. Doesn't mean it's automatically corrupt. A lot of "experts" here pretended they knew this trial inside and out when they only read a few tweets they made sure shared their same political view. I predicted guilty because you don't indict a former president for shits and giggles. You better have the goods and an amazing presentation for the judge and jury. I believe they got him on the docs case as well (posters also said all these cases are "falling apart". Sure) and that will likely result in years in prison. I'm guessing he loses the election, the other trials begin next year, and more guilty verdicts follow.

I've said this time and time again - it's easy to spout nonsense at a rally, in a friendly interview, or on social media. When you enter a courtroom, all that bs stops and you have to act like an adult. It's why his team kept losing election cases and why we're probably going to see more guilty verdicts. He paints himself as an always victim but in a courtroom it's practically impossible to defend him.
So when is Biden gonna get his “years of prison time” over him taking docs?! Lulz what a dipshit!

Yeah drawing conclusions from a cruise ship with passengers isolating in their rooms is just like real life interaction in society on planes, subways and crowded church pews.
Cruises always end in a 1 percent death rate of passengers right??
My barn cat has a higher IQ.

OT:
I saw UK was a 24.5 point favorite against So Miss. I looked up the last 20 non-conf, non-bowl games to compare. During that time, UK is 20-0!! (which is pretty dam good)
In those 20 games, UK averaged 39.75 points and gave up 15.4 points. A difference of 24.35 points, round up and you get 24.5.

Did everyone realize UK is 20-0 against regular season, non-conf opponents? (UL is the only ranked opponent during that timeframe, #25 in 2022 and #10 last season.

It also makes me wonder ... is that the analysis the bookies are doing?!? Are they just as lazy as I am on research?? LOL
I believe there for a while UK lead the SEC in wins in a row against non conference opponents.

Weaponization.. another buzz word along with rigged, etc used by conservatives to fearmonger.
As an independent, I'm seeing tons of anti-Semitism, hate speech, etc. coming out of social media right now. And it's not just the GOP. It's the Dems too. Extremism is on the rise. I read several posts today about how "maybe the Nazis were right". Lord in Heaven. This is what it's come to?

You literally have a democrat on here wanting death to the Jewish community (Dion).

Don't Dems and liberals doxx conservatives and Republicans all the time when they get their fragile feelings hurt? Guess it's only permitted for one side?

Libs doxx and give out addresses of people they hate all the time. They posted on line where Amy Coney Barrett lived, where her family went to church, and I think where her kids went to school as well.

CNN confronted a random grandmother in her driveway to ask the lady if she knew the pro-Trump facebook page she was a part of was supposedly ran by the Russians. Image the person at CNN that said 'lets go get that old random woman' cause of what she liked on Facebook.
