Regarding inflation, he agreed that people feel day-to-day pain in the increased price of groceries and other items they need, but he argued it is more about anger than being unable to afford things.

My wife and her two other sisters living in New York quit school to work (her and the oldest in High school and the youngest in middle school) when their father left them. Their mother just gave up and laid around the house crying all day. The middle schooler took care of their 2-year-old brother while my wife and her older sister worked to pay the bills. So, none of them graduated high school. After we met (years later of course) and were dating I had her quit the cashier's job at Save-A-Lot to study for her GED. She got it and not long after got a Job on Ft. Sill (required High School Diploma) with a military contractor making much better money than the Save-A-Lot job. She is now in a managerial position with a salary that is very good for this area. Might lose it because they are downsizing, but we know she can get another.
Point being that she would not have been able to get the job without the GED.
