My mos was security. Shortly after Kent State, they were expecting a protest. They gathered about 70 or 80 of us in a large room and said we were backup in case we were needed. They issued us M16's with no ammo. we were never deployed. These guys in Texas need the authority to do what is necessary if attacked. Letting illegals do this is a mistake.
I spent quite a bit of time in Turkey. Some of us were walking along the water front in Izmir and came across a small protest. Shortly three vans pulled up and a bunch of some kind of special police came out swinging billy clubs. The protest didn't last long.
