What in the hell have the Republicans done since they won the house? They cried & cried when the vote was held up to get conservative considerations. Articles of Impeachment should be drawn up every damn day. There is no shortage of instances where this action is warranted. Subpoena everyone & jail non-compliers.

so IOW, there are no REAL Nazis anywhere on the planet and those who call people they are opposed to NAZIs are hyperbolic poser aholes who disrespect the 6mil who actually died in German death camps.
Six million is just Jews. All told it was well into double digit millions. Many more if you include all the people murdered outside the camps. Regardless it's a dumb point. If someone self-identifies as a Nazi they're a Nazi, regardless of how many Jews they've personally murdered. It's an ideology not an action.

dbm seems to have a bit of a hard on against DeSantis. That was a bit of a 'spin' on his part. But overall...he's a good poster.

A lot of the tweets/articles against DeSantis...when you dig a little you see they've taken a few liberties here and there. The more this goes on...and it will get worse....I'm with you I'd like to see him remain as Gov. The '24 campaign (primaries) looks like it may have the potential to be a fracturing event for the Repub party. Hope not, but I agree that Trump will berate anybody who gets in his way. I've gone from 100% Trump to maybe around 30% based on tweets/attacks just on DeSantis....which have been totally uncalled for.

I hope Desantis stays governor because running for president is a big mistake while the elections aren't secured. If he gives up his position as governor, no telling what will become of FL once the D steal another election. If a brain dead, pedophile, bigot like Biden can win without any support. + No debates and no platform. + No one showing up for his entire campaign. + Horrible ratings and polling by independent sources... Desantis has less than no chance.

No matter how many votes he can muster, they will manufacture more overnight, if not in advance. In fact, if he does win the vote outright and by the margin Trump should have, it may be a clue that Trump was right about him. Either way, it won't matter.

That's what the cult's all about.

Look at this Capitalist wearing his mask to fight off the infection of socialism from his 3 houses and 4 sports cars.

Fantastic! It's what I've been hoping for for decades. If the people vote it down, they deserve sh!tty schools.

KYSC has interpreted the constitution's requirement to fund public education as funding public school systems & this stopped attempts at vouchers. This is what it takes to put parents & their children first over unions & school boards.

Thanks much for the news.

Question: Why only 17 co-sponsors? Vote out anyone who doesn't support this.

Even if it passes, old Andy will veto it.

So DEsantis did a panel to support Trump. Trump responded by calling him a deepstate pedophile. Gonna be a fun election season!

If Trump runs the GoP won't win back the WH for 20 years. If desantis runs the GoP could potentially dominate DC for 20 years. The GoP is so ****ing stupid to not understand that.

It would go to a ballot vote. After spending years attacking teachers and losing the Govenors office over it I doubt it would go over well. What would you do with a voucher in KY? it wouldn't even cover half the cost of private school. KY funding per student is 4,000. a voucher usually gives you half of that. Trinity is 16,000. KCD is over 20,000.

We agree that whether Hitler or Stalin, when you call yourself a socialist you are a socialist.

"Two of the biggest-spending groups of Republican megadonors are making it clear that they don’t want Donald Trump to be the GOP nominee, a sign that anti-Trump candidates will be well-funded in the 2024 presidential primaries.

The Koch network, the largest-spending political network on the right, and The Club for Growth, a fiscally conservative group that was once close to Trump, both announced plans to work against Trump in recent days.
Trump didn’t need megadonors in his first presidential primary run in 2016—he was fueled largely by small donors and a huge amount of free earned media given cable TV’s obsessive coverage. But the open plotting against him shows that many powerful forces in the GOP are ready to move on.

The Koch network announced plans to spend heavily to block Trump and his allies in the 2024 GOP primaries, in a memo from Americans for Prosperity, one of the network’s larger organizations.
“The Republican Party is nominating bad candidates who are advocating for things that go against core American principles. And the American people are rejecting them,” Americans for Prosperity CEO Emily Seidel said in a memo sent to supporters on Sunday.

“To write a new chapter for our country, we need to turn the page on the past,” she continued. “So the best thing for the country would be to have a president in 2025 who represents a new chapter. The American people have shown that they’re ready to move on, and so AFP will help them do that.”
That’s a significant departure—while the network combined to spend almost a half-billion dollars in the 2020 election cycle, it’s never spent to boost or block candidates during a GOP presidential primary.
Charles and David Koch, the libertarian-leaning billionaires better known as the Koch brothers, were the biggest-spending conservatives in politics until Trump came around. They and their donor network, which includes hundreds of other donors, spent less during the Trump era, though they still spent nearly a half-billion dollars backing down-ticket candidates and on other political organizing in the 2020 election cycle and their super PAC dropped $80 million on the 2022 elections.
The Koch brothers were never Trump fans, and David Koch died in 2019, but this is the first time the Koch network has moved to directly take him on.

And it’s not just them.
The Club for Growth shared private polling of Republican likely primary voters that showed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis led Trump by 49%-40% in a theoretical head-to-head primary matchup. In an all-candidate field, Trump leads DeSantis by 37% to 33%, with former Vice President Mike Pence at 7%, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley at 5%, and three other candidates polled at 2% or lower. Again, why Trump wants more Pub candidates.

“What the club believes the Republican Party should do is make sure whoever we nominate will actually win,” Club for Growth President David McIntosh told reporters on Monday. “The party should be open to looking at a different candidate. DeSantis is in the strongest position.”
McIntosh said that the group would invite every single Republican candidate named in the poll to the organization’s donor retreat—except for Trump. " LMAO.

The Club for Growth and Trump have had a rollercoaster relationship—and have been on the outs in the past year. The Club opposed Trump during the 2016 presidential primaries, but became one of his biggest backers during the general election, and quickly became one of his closest allies. Oops !! Trump often name-checked McIntosh, who worked closely with the president to coordinate primary endorsement."

"The Club has been trolling Trump for months, releasing polling showing him trailing DeSantis shortly ahead of his November presidential announcement (and after Trump’s endorsed candidates lost a number of winnable 2022 midterm races)." Thanks, DT. You're a genius.

I know I am defensive about our governor. He has had to fight the entire news media since becoming governor and been called everything from Hitler to Mussolini. In spite of that he totally changed Florida from blue to purple to deep red. I like the way he governs.

Trump campaigns on destroy your opponent. I am fine with that if it is a liberal or Democrat but not your own party. Especially crazy accusations like globalism or shutting the state down during the pandemic. Trump is guilty of both of these.

Yep.

If DeSantis is a globalist he is a sorry one.

Or another con man playing the long con. I don't trust anyone in politics anymore. He had to do what he's done to win over the conservatives in his state. He's done that. He'll carry the country if he's the nominee.

Still doesn't mean he's not a globalist. We won't know until he steps into the white house. Just the way it is.

He banned WEF of any influence in the state and has banned the sale of land, farms and property to China. Some globalist.

Trump will have a difficult time beating a Democrat for obvious reasons. He needs all of the GOP united and that means just telling why I should vote for him with emphasis on his record as President. Attack people like he did the Governor of Georgia and he will lose that state as well as others. We saw it in the last election. Kemp won in a landslide and Hershel Walker lost. We know why.

Trump, just like any other mostly non-globalist, America-lover, that won't play by the DC swamp rules will not win in 24. Nothing has been fixed. The agencies will not investigate any known or clearly evident fraud, much less any substantial crimes. Until that changes this country will continue to be flushed by the flushers in chief.

I don't doubt she'd be an improvement at VP.

Not to be a wise ass, but I think she is pretty much running it as president anyway. Old Joe doesn't know what is going on.

He pretty much tells us that's the case, when he is lucid and semi honest.

If it doesn't go over well, KY deserves sh!tty schools controlled by teacher unions.

If funding goes to students, I'd think they could make them whatever amount they wanted & could limit the required parent contribution amount to receive one. W/o seeing the amendment, I'd hope local taxes could go with the voucher.

Doesn’t the Kentucky legislature have a veto proof majority?
Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed in either House of the General Assembly at a regular session, and if such amendment or amendments shall be agreed to by three-fifths of all the members elected to each House, such proposed amendment or amendments, with the yeas and nays of the members of each House taken thereon, shall be entered in full in their respective journals. Then such proposed amendment or amendments shall be submitted to the voters of the State for their ratification or rejection at the next general election for members of the House of Representatives

3/5 majority puts it on the next statewide ballot. No say for andy.

So dumb. Fascism was literally invented to fight socialism.
Dumb. You said that you should believe them when they say what they call themselves. You are inconsistent and have sloppy thinking.

The S means Socialist in both Nazi and USSR. Id add that you neglected to give context to your 10s to 100mil body count. ALL from the practitioners of pure Socialism aka Communism. Stalin and Pol Pot. NOTHING kills like the practitioners of Socialism. Always a failure.

Hitler nor any of the other Nazis, other than vaguely Goebbels, self-identified as socialist. He literally killed the communists and socialists before even turning to the Jews. Your point was dumb and doesn't even correctly represent what I said.

Are you two saying Andy wouldn’t/couldn’t veto it? Not counting that the veto could be overridden?
"The approval of the Governor shall not be necessary to any bill, order, resolution or vote of the General Assembly, proposing an amendment or amendments to this Constitution. "
