Ever heard someone say you were a dumbass, and knew deep down in your very soul, that they were absolutely correct? That's your cognitive dissonance ****ing with you. Makes you say stupid things to try and rationalize the irrational.
Show me in any official US document where it says "separation of church and state". Makes no sense even on a fundamental level. That would mean the state has no jurisdiction over churches, including their activities that run contrary to the laws of the land. That is not true. Your pastor cannot legally kill you for diddling children.
It means what it says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". They are not going to tell you which religion to follow, and will not prevent you from following the one you want. That's it.
This country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, hence the word "God" in the documents. You can argue against that fact all you want, being wrong doesn't seem to bother you or slow you down.
