I, and others, have posted studies from the WHO and DoD, amongst others. Wasn't good enough for you a year ago and won't be good enough now.
Common sense shows ... if air is coming in, then microbes can get in as well (aka airborne viruses). Do they help when people sneeze or cough? Of course, but covering your mouth with your hands or elbow will help as well. If you think they work, then knock yourself out and wear it. But don't force your narrow views on anyone else.
