I ran some errands this morning and swung into the car wash to get my pickup washed. A bunch of folks were in there talking and complaining about the nations woes and horrible conditions we are experiencing. On and on and on they talked and screamed.

The most vocal were the ones with New York accents. They were really mad. (LOL) So I said maybe we can right the ship in November. And out it came. They would never vote Republican because of abortion and the morning after pill. I looked at the man like he was some sort of stupid. That is the issue for a 50 year old man. Abortion?

I told him I went through a gas crisis in the 1970's. Odd and even gas purchases. No gas on Sunday. A limit of 10 gallons. The pump would shut off at 10 gallons so no one could cheat. People getting shot for breaking in line. I asked him if abortion was more important than pocket book issues. And he said abortion was the only issue. I told him OK he is not going to like living down here if that is all he is bringing to the political table.

That always gets me. Like the most important things in the world to you as a voter is celebrating gays and women being able to kill their baby as a form of birth control. Nothing else matters except those issues. My best friend's mom is a hardcore Catholic and super against abortion. But is a hardcore Democrat cause "muh daddy was a Democrat. His daddy was a Democrat.' Makes total sense.
