Let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

12
Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Psalms 5 NIV

I've got a picture of one of my granddaughters firing her Dad's AR-15 when she was about 15.
Big smile on her face so it must not have hurt too much.
An AR-15 is one of the smoothest shooting weapons. I would say it was gentle to mild and very comfortable to an experienced shooter. It is shooting a .223 not a 50 caliber round.

My nephew was shooting an AR-15 when he was 8 years old. Alone.

I hear ya. So little kick.

<- - - taught M16A1 marksmanship to male/female soldiers, served as unit armorer and own a Colt AR-15 HB.

Many clowns in the media declare those rifles are the most diabolical things on this planet. Heh

Was watching FlashPoint last night and they talked about something I didn't know, but I'm sure you and several others here already knew. Most people think that the AR stands for 'automatic rifle' or 'assault rifle' , etc. But they were saying it actually stands for "ArmaLite Rifle" for the company that back in the 50s came up with it.

Shows how the msm and those who believe every word they say mislead everyone.

Well, repair shop finally got the bumper in for the Mrs' car and it's being replaced today. Nationwide backorder and it only took about 90 days.
@Sawnee Cat .... did your part(s) ever come in for the damage the squirrel did?

Gas at $4.99 In Louisville. I get the democrat politicians supporting bidims BS energy policies but why…. WHY…. Aren’t republicans in the house and senate, raising 10 kinds of hell about the prices? They should be shouting from the roof of the capital about restarting oil production.

Something is rotten about this whole situation! And I’m not sure the republicans aren’t in on it.

Yes, we are back up and running. Funny, I got an inquiry from Audi asking me to comment on my experience regarding the repairs.

I responded I did not blame Audi for the issue but I did blame Joe Biden and if they supported him for President then FUJB and Audi

Some discussion of this in the Georgia primary on here in the last day or so.

It wasn't lost one me when I saw their narrative shift. Comical and sad shit, really. It just shows how disingenuous (and brainwashed) they are.

HOW IN THE EFF can an opposing party be allowed to participate in your election? Let's just have Louisville fans pick Kentucky coaches. I'm sure there's no conflict of interest there.

What the hell is wrong with Georgia to allow this?

HAHA! If you can find more than one trans homeless person in your city, I would be impressed with your population's mental illness. Homeless people usually have bigger problems than their gender identity and pronouns.

I just imagine the city looking at the numbers and is like, "We've got $412 to fight homelessness. That's not enough." Mayor be like, "Well, we can just say it's to fight trans and since there's only one trans homeless person that shits near the bagel shop, we can get them a 5x10 storage container and say we fixed trans homelessness."

Correct. Eugene Stoner led AR-10 development while employed by ArmaLite division of Fairchild back in 1955. I corrected a WaPo senior editor in a Tweet last week and also commented extensively on the subject in the Texas tragedy thread. Much urban legend + several inaccuracies surround the rifle.

Yeah, if the left thinks they made the argument for gun control by using this tragedy where cowardly cops didn't do jack shit to save kids, they're very mistaken.

There's a fundamental difference between the left and conservatives and it's so big that there's no compromise. That difference is the following...

The left trusts the government (and wants the state empowered). Conservatives do not trust the government."

Which one do you think has more evidence to back up their reasoning?

Why do we let old people run the show in this country? I mean, seriously. We have 80+ year old people making life altering decisions in this country and it is insane. Our pretender and chief has dementia for goodness sake. Hell, they kept Ragan in office even though he didn't know what day it was. The latest Janet Yellen thing is just another in a long line of WTF are you doing.

I had to assume control of my dad's finances when he was in his early eighties. Why? Because he was making very bad financial choices that were affecting his and my mother's futures. He was also easy to trick and manipulate. You could sell him anything and he wanted to buy everything. I see the same behavior out of many elderly to different degrees. That's why they are the number one target for scammers.

I understand that not everyone ages at the same rate, but damn, there comes a point where you shouldn't be making financial decisions on your own....much less for everyone else. It's past time for age and term limits because at this point the staff members have to be running and manipulating things. I don't remember electing any of them.

The country is suffering in more ways than one....and what is being done? Nothing. At the least, Biden needs to give a teleprompter speech and let the country know something....anything. It will all be smoke and mirrors because their incompetence is beyond solving a 5 pc jigsaw puzzle but I am willing to listen at this point.

There's a reason why telemarketers and televangelists target the elderly.

To your point, it was clear that Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden were so damn old and could no longer remember players' names and you'd push those guys out and all they did was coach football. But run the entire economy and world power? Yeah, let's allow a group of psychopaths and old ass corrupt politicians in their 70s and 80s to control the world.

How does it make sense that any politician gets to stay in office for as long as they do? Most people would agree that politicians are a problem. So why the eff do you allow the same people to stay in office who have been there the last 50 years?

Term limits and max age limit of 65-70. NEVER WILL HAPPEN

You can find a few folks still near top of the game in their mid-70s. I talk to those folks daily.

But my mother also lost control of her finances when she hit early 70s because dementia set in. Agree on term limits.

BTW you finally admitted the truth. You are anti 2nd amendment and anti liberty.

You are likely a fascist too. Please, change my mind.

Every statistic you misused showed that big cities are essentially the problem w gun crime. They are and have been run by dems for generations. (I am not saying GOP had all the answers, but i am absolutely saying modern democrats are the problem.

Pls do not respond to me with more redirection or empty platitudes or threats. Please change my mind 1. that you are not anti gun, 2. that you are not facist, 3. that dems are not the cause of the problems in our society as i have spelled out.

Any thing else, esp the threats, is a waste of each of our time.
You've already made your mind up. I obviously can't have a good faith discussion with you. I presented evidence pointing that gun control measures reduce mass killings. You have responded by calling me a fascist liberal and redirecting to an abortion argument. That's not a debate if you're wondering. That's covering your ears and yelling while others try to speak to you.

Not sure age is the issue for most of them. AOC is pretty young. Mayor Pete and Beto are young. Lots of young dumbasses on the left. Trump is as old as old joe but he’s as sharp as anyone.
