I’d rather pay $20 dollars in gas than have a winner of this game…

Okay. Not really. But gross.

Sports betting is a dirty business. Sometimes your rooting interest goes to the dark side...like having some big bet on the Vols. Pulling for Tenn even for a single game will eat at your soul...but if you win you can cry with more money.

Hate to tell you this, but every game I went to at Rupp this year I never saw the men's team during the anthem.

Exactly. There were times I broke things when UK lost. That changed as I grown older, but then Calipari had to kneel to the political left, and it's never been the same since. It's been pre-covid since my last game at Rupp. Doubt I will ever go again. I do however really enjoy (at this time) the softball team.. I may visit Rupp again someday but only after I learn @Sawnee Cat visits Disney world again..

Yeah, I've not bet much here lately. Throttled back on the beer as well. Still having issues with back surgery from February. Meds and all. Had another MRI last week, seeing Doctor this afternoon to see if anything was missed..

Have them do a CT scan of your head, see if anything is missing up there.

Well I hope you’re wiping your tears with your money rather than just tissues tonight.

Been taking a break from the political thread for a few weeks so this has probably been posted about.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/01/myo...vid-infection-than-vaccination-cdc-finds.html

So now they are trying to cover up the vaccine risks by saying you are more likely to get myocarditis from Covid than from the vaccine. Yet they didn't mention that you still get Covid when vaccinated. So wouldn't that increase your risk with both supposedly being a cause of myocarditis?

They are doing everything they can to keep the vaccinations going so they can keep trying to control people. Can't wait until election time to see what they will try and pull out to use against in person voting again.

You take a break from betting? I know you have taken a break from drinking cause your behavior on here has been less bizarre and I haven't gotten any 3am texts lately like 'dude can you take me to The Bell? I wanna flirt with that fat chick at the window some more...also, a burrito would be nice.'

My last wager was the UK- Suck St. Pete game...bad for the pocket Wife and I went up to Cunninghams one evening to eat, then I got the brainstorm to stop at Poplar Level for a little slot action. Quickly dropped a couple hun then loaded my ass up and came home. Been on the sideline since. I did make out like a border refugee on my taxes though. Thank you, you Mush Headed moron!

I have not been to a game since 2014, but other than senior night I don't remember the players ever being on the court for the anthem. But at the same time back then it wasn't something I would have ever looked for.

I'm at the point that I would just rather the national anthem not be played before sports anymore just so it can't be used for other purposes. Take the protestors back out of the game.
I would rather the team and Cal in keep their a*** in the locker room than kneel.
But if you didn't have the anthem before a game(s)....you wouldn't have this when/if the mic fails.

It kinda makes sense at the Olympics, everyone from all over, get a taste of their culture. But all internal sports? We're in a stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. We know we're in the USA. I don't even hate the jet flyovers. We're paying for flight hours anyway. Lump it in with the fireworks. But really no need for the mood killer where we all have to stand there in reverence before trying to crank it up 5 seconds later with the hype video.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

“He that believeth in Him is not condemned; but He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation: that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

I like Ted Cruz...but not too excited about his choice here in the Buckeye State.

'Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas on Monday endorsed Josh Mandel, a U.S. Marine combat veteran and former Ohio treasurer who’s making his third bid for the Senate.

"As our nation faces crisis after crisis under Joe Biden, our country needs Conservative fighters to stand up to the radical Democrats who want to exploit these problems to deliver socialism to America. That's why I am supporting Josh Mandel for U.S. Senate," Cruz, who remains popular with many on the right across the country, wrote in a statement. Pointing to Mandel’s two tours of duty in the war in Iraq, Cruz emphasized that "Josh is a proven fighter for our American way of life, a champion for the unborn, and a stalwart advocate for our religious liberties. I am proud to endorse Josh Mandel for U.S. Senate, and I ask every conservative in Ohio to do the same."

I'm not too crazy about any of the 6 or 7 running for the U.S. Senate on the Rep. side.
Mandel has run for about every elected office in Ohio for the last 15-20 years. And the only thing he runs on every time is the fact that he was a U.S. Marine.
I wonder if the guy works 'cause he's always running for something.

I'd have to go for Dolan or Timken - not that I have a vote. Gibbons is less charming than Trump.

Ouch.....

"In a poor display of judgment, the former president and documentary narrator chose Kentucky to advance to the Final Four. The perennially underperforming team was humiliated in the first round by Saint Peter's, however, much in the same way that America was humiliated on the world stage during Obama's failed presidency."

Have no idea how the German business sector works....but I wonder (if this is true) how all these retailers can/would raise their prices all at one time...on the same day.
Over here that would be collusion.
The news is based upon a 30% rise in German inflation in the month of February. The German Retail Association (Handelverband Deutschlandreleased) broke the news to the public yesterday that the inflation would be reflected in consumer prices going forward.

It is collusion, but that same kind of collusion exists everywhere in the form of chambers and associations. You can expect to see similar news here soon. Hell, chicken prices have skyrocketed and poultry is damn near unobtanium here right now.

Sounds like John James. James at least worked some in the private sector albeit his family’s business.

Just look at all that inflation Joe Biden caused in Germany. A tragedy.

How can you not dislike this POS fraud?

Kaep was a backup in 2016 because he sucked. That’s why he was a backup. His woke BLM GF got him to become this woke fraud which he has capitalized on more than he ever could’ve for his football skills.

He turned down offers, sacrificed his own tryout, and despite not playing in six years and claims of the NFL being slavery, thinks he can come back?

He’s a giant distraction for a skillset that’s not worth the headache nor does he have the talent to warrant a roster spot over a guy who is either just getting in the league or has been in for a few years.

Visiting Disney World will never happen again. I enjoyed it back in the 1970's when it was family friendly. No more.

And I will never go to another Kentucky game at Rupp or anywhere else for that matter. Not as long as Calipari is coaching them.

Had a friend and his wife over yesterday. Said he was putting in a sale order this morning with his broker on his Disney stock. He's infuriated. Have no idea what the total number of shares of Disney that are out there....but I was shocked at how many shares he's got/selling.
