Is sex education part of the health curriculum? Is teaching anything that happened on Earth more than 4,000 years ago part of the science curriculum? Is evolution (as in real evolution, not this made up humans evolved from monkeys nonsense) part of the science curriculum?
If so, whack job parents would still be throwing fits.
I'd also move health and civics to requirements in addition to the ones I already stated. I think you could lump finance, econ, and accounting into one course, perhaps over two semesters. YOu don't need an advanced knowledge of any of those coming out of HS, that's what college is for, but at least know the basics.
This country is grotesquely unhealthy, I don't even want to begin to imagine how bad it would be if we don't teach the basics of health. Kids should know the basics of how the political system works, especially since a large # of them will be of eligible voting age for the first time in the November following HS graduation.
We sure as **** know a lot of these kids aren't getting any of this knowledge from home in those elective categories. Especially with sex education, you have many parents who just want to completely ignore it and seemingly would rather have their child be completely oblivious to everything about sex.
How hard is it? Teaching is hard. You should try it sometime. I've been in professional positions of training grown ass adults and some of these people are complete ****ing idiots. Like just training them on the most simple concepts and tasks at their job and they just can't figure it out no matter what you try. So stupid it makes you wonder how they managed to survive to adulthood.

Obviously you didn't read the article. Reagan was elected President in Nov. 1980 and inaugurated in Jan. 1981. The inflation rate article I sent you was pointing out this is the highest inflation rate since 1982. Reagan was President in 1981 (10%) and 1982 (6%) when inflation was terrible.
I did make a mistake regarding 1980. Carter was President that year and inflation was 13%. Hopefully we don't have 8 years in a row of inflation like we did from 74 to 82.
