It was there for really a blink of an eye. The summer before the '08 election when the housing crisis followed by the stock market/financial crisis. SUVs were toast. I was able to buy a three year old, 33000 mile Expedition Eddie Bauer for less than 25% of original sticker in August 2008.

Obama's high prices started when the reality/uncertainty of Obamacare happening is actually happening. He makes that speech in May 2011. “We can’t just drill our way out of the problem.” He's starting his reelection campaign and has to explain away how his policies aren't at fault.

Half of Obama's eight years we floated between $3.50-4.00/gallon.

After we drilled our way out of the problem, November 2018, “That whole, suddenly America’s like the biggest oil producer and the biggest gas that was me, people ... say thank you.”

Think, man!

Who took over Congress in 2006? I distinctly remember gas prices going up immediately.

Yeah, no. You obviously didn't read the entire thing. The transcript clearly proves that you're wrong.

You'll note that the clips on the news omitted most of what he said.

REPORTER: You said there was hatred and violence on both sides?

TRUMP: I do think there is blame – yes, I think there is blame on both sides. You look at, you look at both sides. I think there’s blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it, and you don't have any doubt about it either. And, and, and, and if you reported it accurately, you would say.

REPORTER: The neo-Nazis started this thing. They showed up in Charlottesville.

TRUMP: Excuse me, they didn't put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down, of to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.

REPORTER: George Washington and Robert E. Lee are not the same.

TRUMP: Oh no, George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to take down – excuse me. Are we going to take down, are we going to take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him? Okay, good. Are we going to take down his statue? He was a major slave owner. Are we going to take down his statue? You know what? It’s fine, you’re changing history, you’re changing culture, and you had people – and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally – but you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people, but you also had troublemakers and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats – you had a lot of bad people in the other group too.

REPORTER: I just didn’t understand what you were saying. You were saying the press has treated white nationalists unfairly?

TRUMP: No, no. There were people in that rally, and I looked the night before. If you look, they were people protesting very quietly, the taking down the statue of Robert E. Lee. I’m sure in that group there were some bad ones. The following day, it looked like they had some rough, bad people, neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call ‘em. But you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest and very legally protest, because you know, I don't know if you know, but they had a permit. The other group didn't have a permit. So I only tell you this: there are two sides to a story. I thought what took place was a horrible moment for our country, a horrible moment. But there are two sides to the country. Does anybody have a final – does anybody have a final question? You have an infrastructure question.

Here you go for regarding your lie about the gassing protestors for a photo op:

Editor's note: The Interior Department's inspector general released a report in June 2021 that concludes that the clearing of Lafayette Square of protesters on June 1, 2020, had been previously planned by the U.S. Park Police before President Trump made his public statement at a nearby church. The report is not comprehensive in that it focuses on U.S. Park Police conduct but not other law enforcement agencies and is the first of several expected examinations of the events of that day by the Interior Department. We have added our coverage on this page.

'Fine people on both sides lie":

From your link it's clear that he is saying there were 2 sides there, with one side being made up of people protesting the taking down of the statue and a group of Neo-Nazis. The other side was the left wanting the statue taken down. He was saying that there were good people in the left group and good people in the right group as well as some very bad people on the left and right sides such as the Neo-Nazis. He never once said that Neo-Nazis were fine people, he actually condemned them and said they were bad.

I don't know why I'm typing this to be honest. You obviously know what he was saying but are purposefully trying to distort it just like most every other liberal.

TRUMP: Those people – all of those people, excuse me – I've condemned neo-Nazis. I've condemned many different groups, but not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were white supremacists by any stretch.

REPORTER: Well, white nationalists –

TRUMP: Those people were also there, because they wanted to protest the taking down of a statue Robert E. Lee. So – excuse me – and you take a look at some of the groups and you see, and you’d know it if you were honest reporters, which in many cases you’re not. Many of those people were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. So this week, it’s Robert E. Lee, I noticed that Stonewall Jackson’s coming down. I wonder, is it George Washington next week? And is it Thomas Jefferson the week after. You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?

REPORTERS YELL INDISTINCTLY

TRUMP:
But, they were there to protest – excuse me – you take a look the night before, they were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. Infrastructure question. Go ahead.
TRUMP: Excuse me, they didn't put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. I remember taking a trip to Cooperstown and Fenway Park in June of 2007 and I paid $3.99 for a gallon of gas in Boston. That was the most I have ever paid. I'm sure it was less in Kentucky, but it was very high during that period.

It got up over $4 in Louisville and Lexington

Maybe not at the exact same time, but it did around that time.

I finally see the light! This is all a Clinton plot! She had Beau killed so Biden wouldn't run in 2016. All so she could run and lose and make Trump President. So they could set him up for colluding with Russia and Ukraine. So they could finally impeach that bastard. So Pence would be the horrible 2020 nominee. And ALL of this so Warren could be the 1st female President! GENIUS! 10D chess!

Wait its almost 2022 and we still have people on here repeating the "fine people on both sides" lie. For those that may not believe transcripts, here is an unedited video from CNBC (not exactly Fox news).

Go to 1:59 in the video to hear him very clearly denounce nazis. If you are still repeating the idiotic idea that he didnt denounce nazis that day, youre either unbelievably ignorant, or most likely very very dumb.

Confront the Left with facts... and they scatter like the cockroaches that they are.

We've had that from the beginning in Ivermectin, hcq, mono-clonal antibodies and so on.
Yes... but Fauci et al can't make any money from those... so...

Anybody wanna bet that MRNA, JNJ, PFE and now MRK aren't the most widely held stock positions by members of this administration?

You know how people can become nose blind and have no idea how they smell such as smokers? That's exactly how so much of the left's base is. OBLIVIOUS!

Lefties could read Orwell's 1984
Read about the tactics of Hitler's Brownshirts and Mussolini's Blackshirts
See the government and Big Pharma get caught in lie after lie
See how the Soviet Union operated as well as Communist China
See how every tyrannical government controlled the media and used them for propaganda
Look at Big Tech silencing dissent

They can see all of this and still be so GD oblivious to reality of the similarities of how their party operates today. They believe they're the good guys and are convinced constantly that they are fighting the "machine." You are the machine, lefties. You're the useful idiots of our time.

Over the last decade I have watched their base justify

-Beating the shit out of people just trying to hear a speech
-Try to shut down opposing views on college campus/prevent speakers from attending
-Completely back corporate media controlling information
-Big Tech be modern day book burners as well as
-FBI acting as the Gestapo
-Forcing a medical experiment on the population including children and threatening their livelihood if they do not comply.
- Backing the government's control over everyone's lives
- Discrimination and segregation of groups based on race and now vaccination status, even wanting them to be identified with a marker straight out of WWII.
- Back children being forced to wear a mask while Democrat political fundraisers, birthday parties, and Hollywood award shows can go unmasked. It doesn't matter how many times their political leaders get exposed as performing political theater and not even adhering to their own mandates.

You cannot salvage the mind of someone who is so brainwashed and blind to the above.

Trumps in on it all too. He’s just damn good at convincing 90 percent of his base that he’s not or his egos just too big to ever admit he effed up by getting duped. Neither scenario is ideal.
I think it's the latter but he absolutely is an accomplice to this shit show. He also seems to be oblivious to how the vaccine is viewed to a large part of the base. As usual, he had some terrible advisors.

Dude, ZERO people in the Democrat base bothered to read the DNC leaks. ZERRRRRRRO! They could read untouched emails all for themselves. No BS. Just all out there for you to look at and they didn't because they have no desire for truth. They want to put their head in the sand. They treat this crap like it's their favorite sports team. So no, they do not have a desire to do any research on their own. They want corporate media to run as a filter for them and wait to be told how to feel and how to think.

Small fish?

Small fish?

Igor is not a small fish IMO.

From the ever conservative Axios:

"Lost in the public obsession with former President Trump’s loss, grievances and threats to run again: Non-Trump Republicans have had a strong, yearlong run nationally beneath and around him."

"The bottom line: While Trump himself lost in 2020, he grew his total vote and share of Black men and Hispanics. Republicans are expanding those gains."

I know what he said, I’m the one who linked it. The quote is right there in the middle of your post. And all of it is awful.

Rittenhouse should sue the hell out of everyone involved in deciding to prosecute. They clearly had completely exculpatory evidence all this time and prosecuted him solely to appease the mob.

Welcome to a failed society. Where prosecution is based on mob mentality and refusal to prosecute legitimate cases is based solely on identity politics.
