This guy didnt say anything new or profound. Yes people dont like working crappy jobs that dont pay well, this has been known since jobs were a thing.
Im not saying he is wrong, but again he isnt saying anything that people didnt already know. The one thing I do pushback on what he is saying is, he keeps saying "if Im going to be broke and poor, Id rather not be broke and poor and work a horrible job."
Okay, the thing that most people on the right are bitching about is the ridiculous unemployment that has been given out and the fact that people havent been having to pay rent because they cant get evicted. So ya when the choice is work your crap job for crap money, or make more on unemployment and not worry about paying rent and other bills, ya no duh people arent working those jobs right now. That is not sustainable though. Good for him he had enough money to keep his employees during the entire pandemic. There are businesses that didnt have the finances to do that. There are also businesses that were forced to close. So his example for his own shop isnt a end all be all solution.
I dont think anyone here is against people quitting crap jobs to for better jobs or to create their own jobs. Hell that is what I did a couple of years ago. I went from working as a programmer for a big company to being a freelance programmer, to creating my own thing.
