You have the freedom to protest thanks to this country that you hate and want to change. You then want to use that freedom as a platform to takeaway the freedom from those that disagree with your beliefs. It's a ridiculous cycle.So It's ok to show disdain for your country because you have the freedom to do so, but if you show pride for your country, you're automatically a white supremacist, far right extremist and the biggest domestic terror threat to the country.
I live in a fairly rural area and have all the options I need.
That's what paying people not to work will get you. Desperate employers, artificially jacking up wages just to get bodies into the building. This was all a ploy to get the Minimum wage raised without resorting to legislation to force it. What they will create is an unreliable workforce. Also, the inflation created by all these companies being forced to raise their costs for goods and services will offset any wage increase these people think they got.
It's fantastic to show pride in your country. Just be proud of all of it. Too many people think their way of life is America. America is not rural towns and wide open space. That is a part of America. America is also not bright hurtling metropolises. That is also just a part of America. I'm a small (even smaller due to China/our politicians) manufacturer and you are right on the money with this post. We have to have manufacturing jobs here. Everyone can't work for the gov, work at WalMart or sling burgers and fries.

Not sure what you're getting at here? You think me being proud of America is me being only proud of those that look like me and act like me? My boss is probably one of the top 100 wealthiest African Americans in this country. I'm proud of what he's been able to accomplish in his life and how he's passed that spirit on to his children who run various portions of the company. I'm proud to work for that man who is extremely humble, extremely generous, extremely smart and has thrived in a capitalist country. He never let himself be "oppressed" by anyone. That's the country I'm proud of, the one who gives ANYONE regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, social-economic status, whatever, the opportunity to be a success. Nowhere else in this world offers those freedoms and opportunities as much as America and it's disingenuous for all of these people to claim "oppression" when they cannot name a place on this planet where they would be less "oppressed".
We're having a helluva time finding people to even sling burgers and fries.
Unemployment is about to go through the roof if all companies do this. They will lessen the amount of employees they have to compensate so, those left will have to do more.
I don't have to be proud of homosexuality, I don't have to be proud of destruction during demonstration, I don't have to be proud that you celebrate the heritage of another country over this one while you live in it etc...you have that right, I have the right to ignore it if I wish. I don't care what you celebrate as long as it does not add to the denigration of this great country. Celebrating criminals is not what we should be doing. Dividing the country by race is not what we should be doing.

Our local Burger King was being ran by 1 person the other day. It’s insane.

I've never heard in my entire life someone say something white supremacist in a face to face conversation, something like Edward Norton in America History X... nothing remotely close to that at all.
But that's what you and I may mean by "white supremacist," what they mean is something entirely different. Namely, they mean you, the independent, self-sufficient and competent white person that doesn't go along with their group think.
The three mcdonald’s in my town are still drive thru only, as are rally’s and some others. a local pizza joint in the heart of downtown had to close down because they couldn’t find enough workers. a deli sandwich shop a few doors down, which was becoming popular had to close up also.
All by design to force higher wages. 😡

Most people around me are of many cultures and we all get along with the exception of personal conflicts of personality. Mostly women against women where that is concerned.
