Playoff Indiana @ Notre Dame

Alright Georgia,, now go and kick ND's azz.

Beck's being out gives me some concern though. Hopefully their back up can lead them to a W.

I think a lot of folks sold out to get this playoff off the ground. Teams should be seeded by their ranking.
Then get rid of the conference championship game. The ones who run these conferences don’t want to do that because of the money involved so they’re not going to make them less important by just giving teams who couldn’t even finish top two in their conference a bye. You have to incentivize conference champ and reward it.

Get rid of the byes entirely and just make it 16 and be done with it. Problem solved.

100% agree with moving to 16. Take the best 16 teams. If there are 6 conference champs n the 16, cool. If only 4 one season, cool.

I don't care if Bama didnt' get in over these teams. Maybe they shouldn't have lost to Vandy or played like dog water against Oklahoma. They only knocked themselves out. If they went 10-2 they would've gotten in.

So u are ok with teams with 0 quality wins getting in over a 3 loss SC, Alabama or Ole Miss? Because that's what happened with smu and Indiana.

They are frauds so 1 down 1 to go tomorrow. I'll tell u who was happiest about IU and smu getting n. Notre Dame and Penn state.

Unpopular opinion, but yes. If you can’t do any better than 5th or 6th place in your conference during a 12 game regular season, you don’t deserve a shot at a national championship just because you had a good win at some point. Put the best 2 or at most 3 teams from each conference in and let the chips fall where they may. There’s no point in having a conference season and then a playoff if you want all of the playoff teams to come from the same conference.

Those teams beat who was on their schedule. I know some people here just want to turn everything into the SEC invitational but it's not going to be like that. But the other issue is SMU and Indiana had zero margin for error with those schedules and they got through them. So its a double edged sword. If IU had dropped one of their games or SMU had dropped an ACC conference game they are sitting at home and out of the playoff (and they shouldn't have been punished for playing an extra game for a conference title while Bama sat at home).

If Bama hadn't gotten blown out by a terrible Oklahoma team they'd be in this playoff and probably playing tomorrow. If Ole Miss hadn't lost to us when we had a god awful team this year they'd be in too.

People that are like "Well you have to look beyond record and evaluate talent for the best teams" miss the big picture. If that's the case, then why even play the regular season at all? But If Bama was supposed to be so good this year they wouldn't have lost two highly questionable games that took them out of the running. Again, zero sympathy. When your argument is "We were the 13th team left out of the playoff" that's just laughable.

Respect the opinion. I just don't care for these dog crap matchups. When you let in 4 frauds (Indiana, smu, Boise and Arizona state), no one can whine when the games are boring.
