An interesting game shaping up for Little Brother -- a chance to set itself up for a Playiff Berth run in the insanely weak ACC -- until being upset by Kentucky, as usual on Nov. 30.

I think Kentucky fans SHOULD want the Cards to win -- would make beating them in late November much sweeter.

But can they win? Notre Dame as always has been grossly overrated, and of course lost at home to Northern Illinois. Louisville is also overrated on the strength of a very weak 3-0 start.

I'm going to say ND wins at home, 24-17.

Full Disclosure; I loathe Notre Dame more than any other football program. When they lost to NIU after their fans were already talking Playoff seedings the score would pop in my head at random moments all week and I'd laugh out loud. SO I'll be rooting for Louisville -- Kentucky can take care of them later.

What say you?

I think there's a couple of things going here.

The rise of UL and demise of the ACC schedule both seem to be largely exaggerated.

UL is solid and probably will be going forward with Brohm, and though the ACC schedule is not an SEC schedule, I'm not sure it's the cake walk folks make it out to be.

Clemson, ND, and Miami are all solid teams that should hang around top 20ish all year. Miami being a real playoff contender.

Then you have SMU who just hung 70 on TCU. BC is tough with Bill O'Brien who is a great coach and has won at the P5 level. Pittsburg is undefeated with a former Bama backup QB who looks to be the real deal Holifield. They may creep up into top 25. Cards don't play them this year, but Duke looks solid, and Cal has been surprisingly competitive.

Cards could easily lose 4 games between now and us. Just as the ACC road in general could end up surprising a lot of folks. Again, not SEC tough, but just as tough as any of the other conferences.

I think UL wins. ND offense isn’t much. UL out scores them.
I think the same thing, I’m going to take the dirty birds and the points. Plus I love it when Rudy loses! I know UL will lose other games this year.

The LineBeards will have the Hennessey flowing after they beat a .mediocre ND.
My wife and I heading up there with son and DIL who is a huge Card fan.

ND will win a tight one. UofL offense is not good. They can’t drive the ball and rely on explosive plays (and Defense/ST TDs)

Irish 24
Cards 17

I don't like Notre Dame in any way, shape, or form, but I hope they beat the brakes off of UofL.
If Notre Dame, U of L, Al Quida, Russia, China, North Korea and James Franklin ever establish a collegiate football conference, I'll be seated between Dennis Rodman and a fat Asian guy with a piss poor haircut waiving a North Korean Flag.

Not happening for me. Living in Louisville, I don't want anything positive happening for that bunch.

So you’re saying that you guys are better than ND? Or do you not consider Georgia a top SEC team?
Cats haven’t shown they can beat a decent team without a lot of improvement. I just hope the cards suck come November.

Well Notre Dame is a complete joke. What other team can lose at home to Northern Illinois and still be ranked in the top 20? Louisville let GA Tech, a mid ACC team at best, run up and down the field all game on them. They were aided by a pick 6, a kick return TD and GA Tech being stopped on downs inside the 5.

Neither team is as good as their ranking. Louisville's QB has been hurt every year he has played College Football. By the looks of the game Saturday he is own his way to getting hurt again.

I still think UK, with all of their offensive problems still beats Louisville by two TD's at the end of the year.

Yes we are better than ND, who lost at home to Northern Illinois.

I really think we should give Northern Illinois their due . . . given that they immediately followed their win in South Bend with an heroic performance in narrowly losing to Buffalo at home.

Obviously, Buffalo is the Number One team in America, likely leaving Northern Illinois No. 2, and Notre Dame No. 3, by a whisker!!

I don’t like either team but I want to knock ND out of it early. Then watch lil bro just lose game after game then watch their last chance get crushed by the Cats. Perfect scenario.

On a given day, I do.

And I don’t think South Carolina would get beaten by the G5 team that lost at home to Buffalo Saturday.
You think ND would lose 31-6 to South Carolina?
We all know pickin one isolated sample result out to compare teams isnt smart. Its better to take a larger recent sample. For instance:
UK 38 UL 31
UK 26 UL 13
UK 52 UL 21
UK 45 UL 13
UK 56 UL 10

Louisville has had a good history giving Notre Dame fits. Leonard can't throw the ball so if Louisville can stop the run, then they win. I gladly threw some money on their line of +6.5.
