I don't believe Oscar demanded that much money is what I meant to say.I believe the reeves stuff now, and they have to reach out to somebody and the names mentioned are gettable for Kentucky if they really go after them, which they should

Reeves and Kaluma would be great, deivi jones is okay go, he is inefficient sometimes but he is another experienced guy who can’t really hurt youKaluma is really the only one I like.Sounds like no hope for Nelson.
But what we really need is a center.Reeves and Kaluma would be great, deivi jones is okay go, he is inefficient sometimes but he is another experienced guy who can’t really hurt you
No doubt, those options are even slimmer. Ugo/bradshaw and Kaluma may be our best bet at this point, unless somto or somebody else reclassesBut what we really need is a center.
Who plays the 4?No doubt, those options are even slimmer. Ugo/bradshaw and Kaluma may be our best bet at this point, unless somto or somebody else reclasses
If it were up to me make bradshaw play the 5 and Kaluma the 4, but with cal who knowsWho plays the 4?
I don't believe that for a secondI don’t know if I believe that.
Your last sentence is why this report makes absolutely no sense. He was poised to make more money in school next season while also having the opportunity to work towards a masters. If 8 million is true it looks like OT isn't reading his scriptures enough. Like the "love "of money is the root of all evil and a fool and his money shall soon depart. Oscar would make more money at UK than his pro contract will be next year and going forward.
NBA is collectively bargained with a union, the players are their employees, and they don’t cap endorsements. The NCAA nor anyone else can cap how much money a person makes off their name image and likeness. Players aren’t NCAA employees or employees of the school. What authority would they have to cap NIL legally?Employers put caps on players, even the NBA has a cap the first 3-4 years, this gets fixed or NCAAB is history - you now like tampering that the pro leagues don‘t even allow.
So they did pay for play, broke the rules, and announced the deal publicly? Weird.4 mil for 2 years. 1.8 for the coming year, supposedly.
This thread honestly reads like a bunch of gamblers on a long losing streak trying to psyche themselves up that things aren't as truly shitty as they clearly seem to be.We're at the point where a bunch of you will be so happy when Reeves returns and we add a 42% shooter like Kaluma.
Cal's made our fans desperate.
Hell, we have a 9 million dollar a year coach who has no inbounds plays, and can't defend an inbounds either.Eight million? You got to be able to guard a pick and roll if you want that type of coin.
That’s why I don’t believe it.That's retarded. So he wanted 8 million from UK but is gonna go overseas or g league for chump change instead?
Nah they are that delusional, the dragon still posts Instagram stuff like he’s on top of the basketball world.Livingston is in for a RUDE awakening over the next few years of his young life.
Does he still call himself the dragon?Nah they are that delusional, the dragon still posts Instagram stuff like he’s on top of the basketball world.
Cal- "Oscar says stuff just to say stuff."I thought Oscar gave his ''blessing' for the staff to go after his replacement? Someone is lying....
BBN - "Cal says stuff just to say stuff."Cal- "Oscar says stuff just to say stuff."
There are no rules anymore. Calipari is one of the few who pretends there are still rules, and he only does so because UK keeps whiffing on portal transfers and it's Cal's way of declaring that UK is doing it the right way.So they did pay for play, broke the rules, and announced the deal publicly? Weird.
I totally agree with this. And now I believe Cal and UK have leaked this rumor to take some of the heat off of Cal for sitting around all spring and getting no one. I think Cal is feeling heat now, since even the media is taking about the dire situation Cal has gotten the program in.This is way over the top and very overly dramatic. Oscar was out of here before the year started, maintained his stance, and those who were leeching off him may have asked for an insane amount but Tshiebwe wanted to move on.
I don't get into the "sources" business but I maintain my friend is pretty accurate with the things he shares and he never had any issue with telling me Oscar is gone and everyone knows it. This was prior to the season. When the rumors go back and forth.....those who stay consistent usually end up correct. So I'd repeatedly ask when others were saying they heard different and he said "He's gone". If you are going to talk about Tshiebwe, the #1 point to bring up is his age. He's older than reported and he wants a chance to play Pro ball. It's not a vindictive departure, it's listening to what NBA people told him which is at his age and if he wants a legit chance to get drafted at all or have a shot to make a team, it's best to go now.
Now if you talk about Calipari's handling of this, I think it was fear Oscar would go elsewhere in the Portal and it's why he allowed this to drag out. How else do you go against your own quote of "I expect all the Seniors to leave" and "I'm looking forward to have two 7'0 on the court together" by hanging in with a guy who had told you he was gone before the season and reiterated his wishes. Hell Pilgrim reported that Oscar wanted to pursue the Pro route too. Now comes the dramatic report to sensationalize a situation that was basic and known. I commend Oscar for doing what he wanted to do and sticking to his word. He never wavered. Those around him are a different story and I'm convinced Cal just wanted to make sure it was Pro ball and not a PR hit of him ending up at a different program.
They did the same stuff with Sharpe last year. It was the mysterious "handler's" fault.I don't buy that for a second. Then why would he stay in the draft and end up making a fraction of that? This is just more of this administration throwing players under the bus to save face.
Kind of like when the whole kneeling thing happened and Cal said in the postgame presser that the players had told him earlier in the week they wanted to do it and he said he would kneel with them. Then after fans were irate he changed his story later to they came in right before the game and it happened on the spur of the moment?I thought Oscar gave his ''blessing' for the staff to go after his replacement? Someone is lying....
I don't trust anyone from KSR having inside knowledge of UK basketball unless he found out from Oscar's side.Guys being too rough on Pilgrim. He does a really good job tbh.

Thus is what happens when you put money into the equation with 17-22 yr olds.Said the team really didn't like each other.
U shouldn't.I have a hard time believing the majority of these NIL numbers.
