To be honest i learned you have you use the IMO like a zillion times or people mistake predictions for some thing more . If you use phrases like " is a lock", "for sure", and " will commit within 10 days" without clarifying that its a guess or a gut feeling then of course people are going to think certain things and are going to assume that you are hearing that from somewhere reliable for you to use such strong words. Unfortunately, I am beginning to think that will be the case.

Best case scenario is Moulder and a 50/50 chance with Murray.

But I think the distinction is one of tone. Guy says, "I've got some inside info. A guy I know doesn't think we're getting any of these players..." There'd be some backlash but I think most could tolerate that.

But it's when the poster comes in guns a-blazing that it looks a little troll-y. In this thread posters have said "We AREN'T getting these players," and that certainty for me makes the info itself seem sketchy.

Who could know? We're talking about 18-year-olds. I know 18-year-olds who can barely tell you what day it is. If you try to double down with the kind of certainty that's on this thread, it comes off as a little silly and makes it look like you're rattling folks' cages.

I honestly do not have much to share. Zimmerman was supposed to be a cat all along but when he changed his mind it changed the class. And when Slice left, it changed the class. But I will say this. This year is strange. The truth is that there are 3 of the top 10 guys in this class that do NOT want to play together. They just don't.
Diallo: is upset that Slice left. If Slice didnt leave, he would already be a cat. But he hasnt decided because of that. Anyone who tells you he has is guessing. I think he wanted UK (with Slice). And he's frustrated at him for leaving and still deciding.
Newman: Zero info. Honestly, no one around here has much info or discussions. Just dont know.
Brown: This is the guy that I keep saying we should be discussing more. Look around the board and its gone quiet, and I'm just saying, don't count it out man. He loves UK and the team. After newman picks, if its MSU our chances go way up. But, our chances are already high.

I love these types of posts. The remaining studs on the board played it very close to the vest, and I find it hard to believe someone connected on the AAU circuit has the skinny on each of these kids. It doesn't pass the sniff test to me. Regardless, even if you guys miss on the remaining targets, I'd say Briscoe and Skal plus whomever else is added is the envy of every program this year with the possible exception of LSU, and probably not even then.

As a Kansas fan I always consider UK the favorite with every kid unless proven otherwise. With what you have returning plus the additions you'll have in the Fall, you're once again a favorite for a return to the Final 4. The sky definitely isn't falling in Lexington. Just an outsider's perspective. And as a college hoops fan, if KU can't ink Diallo, then I hope you guys are able to nab him since it will be better for his development than going to St. John's. The next week or so should definitely be interesting and maybe a little stressful too.

1. I agree, no ONE person knows about everyone. It's almost impossible. If all Evan Daniels or Jerry Meyer have to do is call up 1 single AAU coach to get their info--sign me up for that gig now.

2. I feel like your friend knows you don't have any other ties/connections, so he can pretty much talk like he knows everything. If you go to your doctors office, and they start rambling about stuff you have no clue about--are you going to call them out on it? You say he's never wrong, but what's he really called? And when?

3. I agree the board is quick to crucify someone for claiming they've got info. But to say you've got info on 4 or 5 guys? Pretty bold.

The Kansas coaching staff 'reportedly' felt pretty confident as of last week---but its been pretty dead since. I guess St. Johns met with him again yesterday(?). It seems they are still on the outside looking in with UK and Kansas as the leaders. The longer it takes, the more I feel like UK will land him. We really could use him---with him i can see us contending for a FF spot, without him we are just another really good team susceptible to getting bounced early---story of our life.

A few days ago read an article that said that Slice still being here or at St Johns really would have little bearing with Diallo. That Slice wasn't near a big deal with Diallo as everyone was making out. Seemed to suggest that Howard at KU is a sneaky problem again and his hometown on his mind. Has Howard ever been checked into about anything to do with recruiting?
