UL must have North Carolina's lawyers, it's what they have done that got them in trouble so go back to that point and do whats necessary to punish them instead of punishing future players for past players transgressions.If the NCAA's new approach is going to be that it's not much of an attempt to discipline the school.

I am of the school that not only Pitino but the university should be punished. I would support at least a one year ban for Pitino but it has to go further. The NCAA must take down the banner, take away wins and add at least one more year of post season ban.

If not, the NCAA has no credibility left. They may not have any no matter what they do.

The NCAA is consistent at three things: Being inconsistent, playing favorites and they consistently show all of us that they do not care what anyone thinks of them.
UL and UNC will receive nothing in the line of punishments that fits the crimes they committed.

No, vacated titled remain vacant. There would be no 2013 champion.

That being said the NCAA will never vacate a title. It doesn't matter if Pitino gave the finger to everyone and said he loves hookers and how they made him team play great.

The message they send it "you can cheat, so long as you win it all."

This is factually incorrect. Florida State vacated a track and field championship and little Thomas More college lost a women's basketball title due to extra benefits to a player. The NCAA just needs to show it is willing to do the same with a revenue sport!
