Schools from decorating the hotel rooms of recruits who are on official visits.
They ban something like this, but it's OK for North Carolina athletes to be enrolled in classes for over 2 decades that a 5 year old kid could pass. And it's OK for Kansas to commit 5 Level 1 violations. But how dare anyone decorate a hotel room for a recruit.

Lost in the shuffle of the academic scandal was that UNC athletes were driving around in rental cars that Fats gave them free of charge which is an illegal benefit. Somehow the NCAA swept that under the rug and the scumbag national media didn't question it.

Remember they are doing this because they have no power over anything else. They are not allowed to make rules regarding the portal. They are not allowed to make rules regarding NIL. The NCAA is an irrelevant non factor that everyone has ignored for years now, except Barnhart. Mitch took the approach that the NCAA would survive. He bet and lost. Hurt our program badly by doing so. We will never know what could have been. But it should hurt every Kentucky fan to see what Ole Miss and Missouri are doing, and know Mitch’s values and belief system is what held us back from taking things to the next level.

Is it too late for UK to sue the NCAA for the penalties from the 80s?
UK’s issue when it comes to the NCAA stems from complete failure to adapt. In a very short period of time, the NCAA went from having all power to no power, because of court rulings. UK just went about buisness as if they were gonna remain student athletes forever when this is clearly a transition period that will lead into them becoming employees. Just a huge missed opportunity that other schools in our league took full advantage of and we have not.
